I think your confusing him and Gomes in regards to being laughed out the place.

Mina is naturally a good a defender and could of been classed as a top drawer defender, but bar Injuries and his life off the field seeming more important, he just never reached his potential.

Even his drastic injuries always seemed to suddenly vanish once Colombia came knocking...
No, he got bombed out of Barcelona at quite literally the first opportunity. He played 4 games for them. Since then he’s spent 5 of the peak years of his career at an Everton side that can barely scrape into the top half and hasn’t always been an automatic pick even when fit. I genuinely have no idea where the idea of him being top drawer has come from. I’m not trying to say he’s useless or anything, but there’s more to being a top player than just looking like you’ve got the basic attributes, you’ve actually got to produce the performances.

If you’re not trying to say he’s useless I’ll say that he’s next to useless instead and at a very considerable cost to the club.

That is why I said 'Could of' the lad has had a nightmare with us through injuries and preferring the limelight, but if he had a different mindset and different injury record than he could of been a very good defender.
that is why I never said he was 'Top Drawer'
Didn't Barcelona even make sure of a buy back clause when we signed him..

There is loads of players out there that you could put under the same Bracket of never going on to Fulfil there potential, for one reason or another.

What sucks is that he's been available and in training and on the bench for literally 5 months at this point, not getting a sniff of game time because "he might get injured" lol

In a time when we need good defenders, he is one of those, and have 5 subs a game that's borderline braindead.

But it's okay, "Michael Keane is the best player on the pitch" as per Dyche, so it's not exactly Mina's fault, he can't select himself.
I don't think dyche is even concerned about the possibility of mina being reinjured ,Dysche operates on very rudimentary level which he misconstrues as being pragmatic when opting for Keane as he's a familiar entity and hes blinded by sentimentality , I'd imagine a guy like dyche is a creature of routine probably eats the same brand of beans daily and doesn't like to veer from established practices football or otherwise

In all honesty, I think this is just an excuse used by fans to explain his absence, as I don't think Dyche or co. have mentioned it. For me, Dyche just doesn't trust him.

It's like with academy/young players - they have no experience, but he defo will not play them to give them experience.

Like a job offer wanting a person straight out of uni with 34 years of experience in the position lol

The funniest part is that before Dyche picked Keane for the first time Yez had played more mins this season than him. The scotch egg dope.

Obvs just doesn't fancy him. End of story. No way he's getting on the pitch, barring sudden injuries to all other possible centre back options.

Dyche has said he doesn't want to play him because he hasn't played many minutes.

Not understanding that is because of him.

Keane hadn't played in months either (and wasn't even being named on the bench) and was thrown straight in so really not getting that from Dyche.

If you look at the other night there were some good corners that likes of Tarks were getting on the end of but couldn't direct headers under the bar. I'd fancy Mina to get something on target as he showed v Wolves.

Yes there's the injury risk but he's not going to be this club's problem with medical bills in two months time so personally I think getting him into the team for these last four is a decent gamble.

He came back in last season after three months out and team took 4 points off Leicester and Chelsea and only conceded once so feels better to me than the two goal conceded average since Keane became a regular starter again.
