...the other thing regarding that is that they are joining teams where winning matters and where points are important. If their coach doesn't pick them it's because they're preferring somebody else. I think there's only Liam Walsh who appeared to be the first name on the team sheet for his manager.
Kenny and Ledson both got good game time, albeit not as successful as Liam.

I'm starting to run out of patience waiting for him to be given an opportunity in the first team. Going to be even harder now with the talent we have in that position. Just really excited about him and hope we don't lose him.

My guess is that we have inserted a break in loan clause in Galloway's contract provided it is for use in the first team, however not to be loaned out again to another club (like Derby). So I think its completely understandable for Pulis to refuse as Galloway has been used in cup and with the ACON on. I actually think he would be great cover for us at LWB and LCB, like a left sided Holgate

..I like him too, Fred. I'm accepting, though, that RK might have a different view on individuals. Whether we like it or not he's having to make fundamental changes and I suspect there will be players we all like who are not in his plans. I read somewhere that Walsh is in demand from a few Championship clubs and although RK likes him, he wouldn't stand in his way if he wanted a permanent move.

I'd like to see Walsh moved up the pecking order and clear out Gibson, McCarthy and Besic. Selling him would be a big mistake, imo he's class.

Walsh has been injured hasn't he? Only just returned, hopefully he can start to push up the pecking order, I was talking to someone who knows Walsh and he said everyone's itching to break through after Davies, and that there is a few who are good enough to do it, good times for the academy and Evertons youth anyway, cant wait for more to emerge

Yes he's been injured just come back, let's hope he's given a chance. Like to see him on the bench instead of McCarthy. There's lots of talent they just need the manager to give them an opportunity.

Championship
Barnsley - Gethin Jones played full match in 1-0 away win over Rotherham Utd

OS Match Report

Twitter stuff
10 - Excellent link-up play between Watkins and Jones down the right and a dangerous ball into the box is scrambled away.

No particular fan comments about game although generally they seem quite impressed by him.

Scottish Premiership
Motherwell - Russell Griffiths was unused sub in 0-2 home defeat to Rangers

League Two
Doncaster Rovers - Conor Grant played full match in 3-0 away win over Yeovil Town

OS Match Report
"Conor Grant's dangeorus delivery into the area found centre-back Baudry, who slid the ball home for his first goal for the club."

Twitter stuff
31' The free-kick was played in Conor Grant and Mathieu Baudry turns it home for his first Rovers goal 0-1

No particular fan comments yet.

National League
Delial Brewster was not in matchday squad for Southport's game.

I didn't see that move happen. He seemed to be a regular starter at his previous club. How come he moved to Motherwell instead? Would be odd if he's traded a regular starting spot for regular bench time.
Yeah it is a strange one in some ways. Although Griffiths received a fair amount of criticism from the fans for spilling balls and conceding goals, he was first choice for Cheltenham so he was getting games all be it at League2 level. My worry is that a bench warmer at SPL level is not progress for him. But mayb he'll get his chance.

Callum Connolly playing for Wigan v Man Utd today, need to clear any chores for Mrs Blueloon out of the way to concentrate on it. Actually really looking forward to it, he has been really versatile over the past few years in his age group , great attitude, great prospect - now is a chance to see how he fares against a higher standard, in particular if his outstanding ability to find space in the opposing box can continue at this level. 'Mon the Latics!
Edit: Haha I type too slow
