Young EFC Players Out On Loan 17-18

I think I remember someone saying he's had a growth spurt recently, maybe needs a bit of time to fill out. Hard to see him making it in the premier league if he doesn't gain a few pounds mind.

I wasn't beating him with any stick, I love Dowell. I'm just kinda glad he's fading in and out of games and proving right those that watch him that whilst he has talent he still 100% needed a loan.

I meant beating whoever was saying he shouldn't have gone on loan not the player himself

but I think we both want and mean the same thing just diff ways of putting it, so we can leave at that

He played the second half; didn't play particularly well. Could/should have scored, he dribbled the entire defence followed up by a weak finish. Almost blew the lead in the 94th minute by losing the ball in a very bad position. He was miles better than Bruno though; the guy he replaced, didn't even know he was on the pitch.

The board should hurry up and appoint a new manager, he'll have his work cut out for him. The performances were yet again abysmal, worst playing RSCA side in decades. They won today but it was a complete hold-up - very undeserved. The Anderlecht GK played a brilliant match - man of the match by far. Like always the RSCA loanee scored against them.

They have to play CL like this on Wednesday, very bad timing.

Appreciate this, thanks.

Championship
Bolton Wanderers - Antonee Robinson started and was substituted in the 75th minute of a 0-3 home defeat to Brentford

OS Match Report
"The on-loan Newcastle man came within inches of opening the scoring soon after too, with him just failing to connect with Antonee Robinson’s low cross."

Twitter stuff
Bright start for Bolton and another half-chance for @AdamArma9. He can't connect with @Antonee_Jedi's low cross. (5)
Great leap from Gary Madine to connect with @Antonee_Jedi's cross but he can't get the power in his header. (28)
Wanderers throwing men forward as both @Antonee_Jedi and @Litts_2 look to get crosses in during a prolonged attack. (35)
Bolton looking to respond to falling behind with @Antonee_Jedi continuing to see a lot of the ball out on the left. (42)

Fan comments
"Robinson messes up for goal"
"Robinson should not have started"
"Send armstrong and the Everton lad back as well."
"That Robinson is garbage - an athlete not a player."

Sunderland - Tyias Browning played full match and was booked in 1-2 home defeat by Cardiff City

OS Match Report

Fan comments
"Browning - 6, OK but not a full back"
"Browning - 6, Feck knows why Grayson playing him there"
"Browning 3 for me"
"Browning - 6 (better than the other two)"
"Thought Browning did alright tbh for a big lump trying to play full back."

Barnsley - Joe Williams played full match and was booked in 1-2 away defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers

OS Match Report

Twitter stuff
13 - It is a shot but it's wide as the ball is laid off to Barnes from Williams.
15 - First corner of the match goes to Wolves as Pearson blocks a cross, Williams clears the danger at the near post!
27 - Joe Williams shown a yellow card. He wins the ball but the referee doesn't like the nature of the challenge.
47 - Yellow card for Neves after high foot on Williams. The Reds man is back on his feet.
63 - Good spell of pressure from Barnsley now as Williams, Bradshaw and Barnes all have efforts blocked in the area.

No particular fan comments

Nottingham Forest - Kieran Dowell played full match in 1-2 away defeat to Aston Villa

OS Match Report
"The visitors had the momentum and nearly went ahead minutes later as first Dowell saw his close range effort rebound off the post and then Murphy again went close with a header which was gathered by Johnstone."
"Dowell and Carayol were causing the home side problems, both getting in behind the Villa defence, however on both occasions they lacked composure when it mattered."
"Time was running out for The Reds and when Dowell saw his free kick clawed away by Johnstone with five minutes to go, all three points looked to be heading to the home side."

Twitter stuff
14' AVFC 0-0 #NFFC: Darikwa and Dowell link up well on the right and the full back squares it for Murphy but Chester cuts it out
55' AVFC 1-1 #NFFC: Forest almost go ahead as Dowell shot deflects across the face of the goal and narrowly wide of the post
57' AVFC 1-1 #NFFC: Dowell gets to the byline and plays a cross in for Murphy who wins the header but can't get enough power on it
85' AVFC 2-1 #NFFC: Dowell hits a great free kick towards the top corner but Johnstone pulls off an equally good save

Fan comments
"I thought this dowell was meant to be the next big thing at Everton, *** me if he was due to break into their first team we must have his twin brother....Each game I have seen him play he brings nothing"
"Their 'keeper was damn lucky with the Dowell effort."
"Dowell - 4 - I've seen some good things from him but he disappears from the game far too much. Appears to be playing a different game somewhere else half the time."
"Dowell - 5 - generally on a different level to most of our team. Another great free kick."
"Great game from Dowell, probably the best I've seen from him at Forest."

League Two
Crewe Alexandra - Conor Grant started and was substituted in the 58th minute of 0-5 home defeat to Carlisle United

OS Match Report
"Grant, 22, hasn’t featured since suffering concussion away at Grimsby Town but after successfully returning to full training last week, the on-loan Everton midfielder made his home debut for the club."

Matthew Pennington was an unused sub for Leeds United
Callum Connolly was an unused sub for Ipswich Town
Brendan Galloway was an unused sub for Sunderland
Liam Walsh was not in caretaker manager Lee Carsley's matchday squad at Birmingham
