That’s probably the best write up Connolly has got in his time at Ipswich, the fans have been a bit critical previously, I seem to remember a comment that Mick McCarthy was only playing him to please Everton . So it really is great to read about one of our youngsters improving and doing well, hopefully he will have done enough to cement a place for enough games for him to show off his talents. Out of all our young players over recent years Callum Connolly has been my favourite, not because he’s the most talented , he clearly isn’t and I worry if he has the pace and physicality to be a PL player , but as a multi talented , multi Position player with a great attitude he’s always impressed me. If he can play out the rest of the season in a Championship team it will give a clearer idea of just how far he can go.

He only played 20 minutes, wasn’t really present except for one good pass that resulted in another Teodorczyck miss. Anderlecht could/should have won, 3 easy chances for Teodorzcyck and they didn’t get a penalty. Missed opportunity.
That sounds like good game management of a young player , presumably they don’t expect a Europa spot.

Well it's quite unlikely they have to win 0-3 to progress- they say they'll give it a go but I don't think they can say anything else. There're progressing every game, unfortunately a bit too late. The big problem remains Teodorczyck; he can't score any more. They'll rectify this in the January transfer windows but that's too late unfortunately.
Onyekuru will play the entire match on Sunday against Kortrijk I assume.

He can't play there. He doesn't have the movement and he doesn't ask the ball in the correct way etc; he looks lost. Both of the RSCA managers have tried it this year and it failed every time.
If you want to see the present coach talk about it: 'http://sporza.be/cm/sporza/videozone/programmas/extratime/2.52190?video=1.3094217 ' (it's in Dutch though). He would be better (like the whole team) if he had an in form striker to play off; like he had Sylla at Eupen or last year's Theo. Will hopefully be rectified after the winter break.
This isn't an issue off course, he's a very good winger.

Understood...sometimes these wingers get moved into the centre if they score goals..but goalscoring wingers are valuable!

He should be able to score a few. Izquierdo is on 2 now in 6 (?) games for Brighton; so if you extrapolate you could say he could get 10 (mind you it could be different off course). I think their level at present is comparable, with Onyekuru being the better goal scorer of the two. Also depends on the quality of next year's Everton team, hopefully better than the present. Would help immensely if Baines gets replaced.
