Your 1st game.

It is that long ago i have forgotten who we were playing. All i remember was I was about 8 so it was in the mid 70s and i was absolutely gobsmacked when i walked up the stairs and seen the view on to the pitch and even more gobsmacked when the crowd roared. I was completely hooked and i supported a team that you could be proud of and actually won things. How good is that. Now it is ashamed and lose most things. 😭

Similar to me. Must have been late 70s, no clue who we played or the score. Was a night game so I assume a cup game. I was amazed when I saw the pitch under lights

March 26th 1987 2-1 win against Charlton. We all know we ended up being league winners that year, but I was 4 and didn’t have a clue what a league title was. I was more impressed with watching the Gwladys sway back and forth for 90 minutes. I don’t remember anything about the game, accept the crowd. I’ve watched it back on YouTube in recent years.

Somtime around 92/93 I think. Home v Spurs on my and my bro's birthday. Travelled up from London and stayed the night. Had our names read out on the tannoy. He's a Tottenham fan. They won 1-0. Samways with the goal possibly. Didn't go back for years! 😅

1st game got bummed by Leeds 5-2 elland rd 1975,me dad took me after years of bugging him.1st Goodison game forrest 1980 0-0 went on my own, top balcony spent 90% of the match looking at the stands and how beautiful it was.

Despite going to games since 1966 the first time I saw Everton was 1991. At Wembley.
You know the rest.
First visit to Goodison was a 0-0 with Southampton in May 1995. My lad was 7 and excited fit to burst.

Ipswich February 79, which was a good Ipswich side at that time, all I can remember is mick Lyon’s missing a pen at 0-0 and then Ipswich scoring and winning 1-0.

A 2-2 draw against Birmingham, December 1976, sat in the old Park End upper stand. It was brilliant seeing the ground with the lights on and with Everton in a proper royal blue shirt (they seem lighter now) and Birmingham in all yellow. Duncan Mackenzie scored twice on his home debut, not that I knew who he was at the time, I think I probably thought he was some exotic continental player because we'd got him from Anderlecht! Typical of Everton, they couldn't win my first game as Birmingham equalised in the last minute. My next game was a couple of weeks later in the FA cup against Stoke (we won 2-0) and then Billy Bingham got sacked, so I only have vague memories of him being our manager.
