FA Cup 3rd tie v Altrincham Jan 1975. Mam had bought me a scarf from Garston market in the morning and I remember her waving it to me through the window when she got back. It was a surprise as I had been pestering my Dad to take me for ages. We all went- I was 7 and the game ended 1-1. I remember very little about the game but we sat in the Top Balcony probably not far from where I sit now. I do remember it being foggy but I was in total awe of the expanse of the place and the pitch looked massive and under the lights it was magical through my young eyes. I spent the whole game just pretty much overwhelmed with it all. I still have the programme. Took my own kids when they were a similar age and soon on to Bramley Moore for the next chapter. Spanners at the ready, my old wooden seat is coming with me last game!

Everton 2 West Ham 1

I was only little at the time. Only realise now how lucky I was to have actually seen the likes of Neville Southall, Gary Speed, Duncan Ferguson, Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard play that day

Also got to see a rare Danny Williamson start
That’s mine too, it was difficult to work out as both Speed and Stuart scored in the 2-1 win the year before

Sometime in the early 1950's, taken by my dad to a Liverpool Floodlit Cup game!
I think both games in the initial Floodlight Cup were in 1957, 2-0 at Goodison 2-3 at Anfield so we won the cup on aggregate 4-3, we played in royal blue silk shirts in both games, the players must have been sweating bleedin’ cobs in those shirts!
