Your 1st game.

Snuck in at three quarter time ( grew up on Claudia Street) to see Mountfield score the equaliser in a 2-2 draw against Ipswich in the 5th round of the FA cup in 1985

Little did I know at the time but Harry Catterick died whilst watching the same game - almost exactly 5 years after Dixie died in the same stand

Chelsea loss at home 1969. Just been knocked out of the FA Cup semi by Man City but was the only loss in what was a 17 league match unbeaten run.
Park end stand front row and dropped my meat pie on the fans below because the noise frightened me when Big Joe scored a pen. Hooked after that

The 4-4 derby is the first club game that stands out.

Seen bits and pieces of football in the late 80s (recall Tony Adams scoring for Arsenal and against Arsenal (OG) in a 1-1 vs Man U as I thought that was funny as a kid), but it wasn't until Italia 90 that I really watched games and became engrossed in them. First Everton player I'd seen score was Sheedy putting the ball in the bottom corner of Shilton's net. Great memory followed by big Niall Quinn against the Dutch, then O'Leary winning pen against Hagi's Romania. Jack Charlton captured the imagination of everyone in Ireland and the put em under pressure song (since learned it was produced by U2) summed up the feeling.

Favourite moment ever was Houghton scoring the winner against Italy in Giants stadium in '94. Paul McGrath that day vs R.Baggio was imperious.

Yup, the Goodison one. That was my first Everton game. Should have jacked it in then.

Yes I remember that game played Saturday evening because it was grand national day

1983 v WBA 0-0 pissing down all game big Cyril Regis played for Albion. Was hooked by goodison straight away everything about the place the pitch / stands/floodlights/ crowd and in next few months best team in the land / Europe

My first game was 9th April 1997. Nobody in my family is bothered about football, so I didn't get to go as a kid, so took myself as a teen. It was vs Leicester city, a 1-1 draw (Michael Branch with our goal). Emile Heskey was diving at every opportunity! My seat was directly behind a post in the lower Gwladys, right of the nets.! Luckily, the seats to the side of the post were free.

Mine started with a 2-0 loss to Arsenal as did my second game with a 1-0 loss to Stoke City both games in March 1948 and things never really picked up until we won promotion in 1954 although there was that good cup run in 1953. It wasn’t ‘til John Moore’s took over that we really took off with the league title in 1963, fifteen years before I saw silverware, I thought that was bad then Thingy became chairman and I found out what real despair was!
