Barkley has allegedly signed already. Koeman/Walsh using him as a smokescreen so other clubs will target him instead of competing with us for our targets.

Would like to think it was true BUT cannot personally see it as the vitriol that is heading Barkley's way with each passing day cannot be doing him any favours. I am sure either he or the club would have announced summat by now rather than have a disaffected player going into the new season.

And also, the "smokescreen" would only have been discussed at top level, no way some academy scrotes would be in on it.

Not suggesting the rest of it is not true though
