Thanks for the suggestion, I have a lot of oregano still growing in my garden so I will do so.

I noticed that you use a lot of mint in your sauces, any recipe that you want to share? I also have lots of mint but except for mojitos I don't use it as much.
Try homemade mint lemonade, very nice. Loads of recipes on the net.

Not really that much. With any lamb, its a Brit "thing", me and Mrs R enjoy it with chicken as well. I will have it on sausage and mash as well. Most wouldnt.

Try this for a salad. Can have it with anything, meat, fish, on its own.

Crispy bacon (chopped up), feta cheese, tiny cubed roasted potatoes (there is a posh name for it), avocado, basil, any peppery salad leaves, (watercress, rocket). Oh, spring onions as well.

Basil is the absolute key. Have a bowl of that, with some lamb cutlets, or unsmoked fish, I promise you will be astonished.

Sounds yummy, thanks for sharing it. I'm going to give it a try soon and I will let you know how it turns out.

You can put mint (and other herbs) in cakes. Mint and chocolate is nice, I've also tried a lemon cake with lemon verbena.

You certainly have great suggestions, thanks! My daughter is going to love making any of these with me. For some reason mint is no that big in my culture so I'm really a neophyte when it comes to make use of it but I'm going to get more creative after this post you have motivated me.

Menú? With an accent? sounds like some random Benfica guy who tears us a new one and then never scores again.

Just had a pizza with some chili sausage. Tomorrow a hot dog, as it's rich in bunly goodness

Bit of a come down from last night, McCains oven chips, Tesco's finest pork sausages which certainly weren't the finest and frozen peas.
Tesco finest are probably the worsed sausages I've ever tried. Absolutely dreadful.

Worth a trip to Taylors farm shop in Lathom (near Burscough) as they do the best sausages I think I've had. Their meat in general is superb.

Any sausages or bacon bought from a supermarkets are far, far inferior to those from a butchers: bland taste; no texture; rubbish and overly processed meat.

There's a price difference of course from your budget brands and those from a butchers, but Tesco's finest etc. are similar in price or even more expensive.

I got to the Scotch Beef Shop in Woolton Village or Clarke's on Allerton Road for our meat, and for £5 you can get a good selection of sausages and bacon.

It's the same with chicken, steak and lamb. Brough's (Formby and other places) and Edge's (Wirral) are good options too if you live in the Merseyside region,

In fact, you can go to a green grocers and a fish monger and get superior products for not that much more. That reminds me, off to Allerton Road I go.

American here. Firing up the bbq smoker this morning (4AM where I live). 1 beef brisket, 2 pork shoulders and 2 rolls of sausage. Just bought a new vacuum sealer so this should fill the freezer up for a while.
