That’s the

yep, smacks of total desperation this.
It does and quite frankly it’s no excuse for the board leaving such a vital signing this late. They needed preseason reps and the whole 9 yards. BUT, if we are going to sign someone in this situation, I’d rather it be someone young with potential over some of the guys that we’d usually go for. But Thelwell has to get this one right.

Things are never straightforward with this club. Why do things always go wrong

…he’s probably spoken with BK.

So according to Twitter: Sporting fans can't believe their luck with the fee mentioned, the lad himself isn't aware of any interest from Everton, some Blues are celebrating like we've just signed Mbappe and others have written him off saying he's either sh1te or looks sh1te on YouTube.

Brilliant.
Mate I've had him signed, found out as being rubbish and booed out the club already

Portugal youth international Chermiti, 19, broke through at Sporting last season, scoring three league goals in 21 appearances in all competitions.

Perfect fit, just the prolific striker we are desperate for.

Regardless if maupet is a target man or not, he is already playing like one and his lack of variety in his attacking abilities is significantly restricting our attacking options.

We can’t play ball over the top, can’t play through balls, can’t ask him to dribble pass defenders, he’s not willing to burst forward, can’t turn back to goal.

We need a striker who has a variety of approach in his locker, at a decent level, but I look at Chermiti, I recognise his ability to hold up the ball, but beyond that, I don’t see a significant upgrade and open up a variety of attacking approach upfront.

Again prove me wrong if you have a video .
Will be more than just a target man, be physical presence and mobility, Maupay simply slows us down.
