Tony’s Carp
Player Valuation: £50m
Mad that he got all the way to playing first team games for Sporting Lisbon by the age of 18 without being good eh. You’d think they’d have noticed.

…..of course Simms will outscore Maupay but so might I and I’m 66. Maupay is not the benchmark to judge a player by. Simms nor Maupay were not selected in those crucial final games for a reason.
Those who feel Simms should be given more time would’ve had a long, long wait. He’s gone for a reason, build a bridge and get over it.
After multiple replies to the latest post full of doom and gloomStop this please, Colin Robinson
He is highly thought of, and fits our profile of a striker
Oh dearComment from Sporting Lisbon colleague 'We’ve had their pants down if true. Useful squad option for us but can’t see him going on to be anything better than average'
I feel very reassured now that he's received Kev's kiss of death. No doubt he'll be a world beaterLet’s be frank this is just a desperation move to say we’ve bought someone
There’s no pedigree whatsoever to be drawn upon
Very low percentage signing
fair enough but can’t helped thinking if we didn’t spend 15m on maupet, kept simms, scores 3 to 5 goals, sell him this season at a higher price and we’ll probably find ourselves 25 to 30m richer, maybe escaping ffp and signing a 30m striker now.
He’s 19 and getting into their first team…Clearly their coaches see something in him. I still assume there’s a lot of upside here. Time will tell, but judging 19 year olds without seeing a path to growth is something we as a fan base also do which doesn’t make much sense.Comment from Sporting Lisbon colleague 'We’ve had their pants down if true. And beyond holding up the ball? Should we spend 15m on someone who only improve on holding up the ball?
The market for potential is off the scale. We’re probably overpaying a bit but he wouldn’t have to do much at PL level to more than double our money in a couple of years.United are paying 70mil for a 20 year old who scored 9 times in 32 games last season (I believe).
Duno he has lived in Yorkshire for 30 years of his 33 years lifeDo the Portuguese say things like "we've had their pants down"....
So some fella from Yorkshire?Duno he has lived in Yorkshire for 30 years of his 33 years life
