….you might not have seen enough of Simms but the Manager and coaches did because they see him every day. The fact that Simms wasn’t used in games where we desperately needed a central striker says everything. Decisions have to be made on these players and a decision was made. I fully concur with the club letting him go.

In respect of Chermiti, the club clearly think he’s significantly better. Thats the difference. The Manager will use him where he wouldn’t use Simms. Simms isn’t good enough, if Chermiti is acquired only time will tell if he is.

I don’t think it’s as simple as that. Simms might be pushing for a move while maupet might not even attract any interest and happy to sit on a big fat contract. Hardly a benchmark to judge their abilities.
