On his Wiki page apparently, he had an 8 month lay off prior to his first team call up last November

I just feel Simms would’ve outscore maupet if given the same game time, not playing him is actually a mistake rather than a lack of ability, but that’s history now.

Chermiti will/if arrive with less experience and he will be thrown in to face some of the best defenders in the game right now, something which he never experience before. A huge step and a similar step that Simms went through. I just hope Dyche doesn’t drop him like he dropped Simms after a couple of bad games and we continue to stick with maupet.

The Simms / Maupay comparison is completely irrelevant, given a choice between the two he played Gray up front. Clearly neither were considered good enough.

Don't know who Zach Lowy is but a thread by him about Chermiti. Was talking about him in February so has been following him for a while at least.

Hope we give him a regular light buffing then.... Vigorous polishing has seemingly broken our dcl diamond.

…..of course Simms will outscore Maupay but so might I and I’m 66. Maupay is not the benchmark to judge a player by. Simms nor Maupay were not selected in those crucial final games for a reason.

Those who feel Simms should be given more time would’ve had a long, long wait. He’s gone for a reason, build a bridge and get over it.
