There is something not right about this one.

I know he put in a transfer request in, but was he really after coming to us? I think it was a case of using us and hoping Arsenal came in and matched our offer.
 
I'm not sure we need him. If we didn't get Iwobi in than it would be different but as it stands we are fine in the wide areas. Next summer when we've had a full season to see how Iwobi and Richarlison get on we can think about it again but not in January.

Arsenal had no money left. And have bought Pepe for 72m spread over 5yrs. If he wanted Arsenal why didn’t he put a transfer request in sooner.

The only club interested at the time of the request was us. The only club I can see going for him in jan other than us if we are still interested, is Chelsea if the ban is overturned. Apparently his agent and palace chairman Steve parish are in business together. Probably the reason Zaha has now sacked him.

The Chelsea one is pure speculation I believe. They've currently got Pulisic, Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Willian, Pedro and possibly Barkley for the wide areas. Signing Zaha goes against what Lampard is trying to do currently. I don't see it personally but I guess you never know as presumably they'll be throwing cash around when they're allowed.

I agree about Chelsea and the young players they have out wide.
My point was which other clubs out there home and abroad could afford him and would actually want him.

By signing that big deal 18months ago, he’s virtually priced himself out the market. If you’re signing a deal like that with a small club, he should have had a realise clause inserted, maybe that’s why he’s peed off with his agent.

But now that it looks like he’s going with Riola, anything is possible.

Players are going to learn from the likes of Ramsey and start running their deals down. It just gives them so much flexibility and it allows them to get paid themselves instead of huge amounts going to their club. Zaha should have done this but couldn't resist the immediate pay bump.

Parrish did an interview and basically said he felt Zaha can play at a higher level. That he's looked after him since he was a teen etc and made a mistake when he went to United. Now he's a better player and they'll sell him to the right club.

So...they'll sell him for half the fee we offered as long as it's a champions league club etc.
