The Everton Board Thread

777 wouldn't pass the owners test especially in light of its stricter rules now.
They definitely would I'd say, their ownership of Sevilla, Hertha Berlin and Genoa would basically pass them straight off. In terms of all the dodgy stuff they've released statements denying it, which of course they would. If Newcastle's get through it genuinely any owner will.

Thought that Thompson and AJ bell had already put money in ,is that separate to the msp 777 deals
They had. Plus MSP have created a fund (with Everton in its name) and have committed capital from a bunch of their investors of nearly 200m.

They have not called any of the cash yet as the negotiations with Moshiri have dragged on but things must be very very advanced if they have got to the stage they have in terms of committed capital. These guys won’t like to be seen to be returning capital if this falls through

The Esks sources are sketchy at the best of times. I've no doubt he shares it publicly with good intentions and believing it's solid info but one only has to look at his previous early calls to see most end up wrong. Maybe that's deliberate from whoever feeds him info.

But who knows maybe a strange turn of events have happened and 777 have swooped in but if we look at the actual evidence available, as you point out, it seems unlikely that that's the case.
