That's a nonsense story about McCarthy.

He's playing games with O'Neill and Keane over McCarthy, obviously carrying on the feud he has with them from earlier in the season. There will be no injury to McCarthy.
The international call up isn't until after next week's game and Koeman said he fully expects McCarthy to be called up for it.

Would McCarthy not have to agree to that? He's a lad who clearly loves playing for ROI, so would he stay quiet and miss an international break?

I'm going to ignore the Bronx accent and take this to be some sort of double negative-ish thing/Freudian slip thing
and reading it as Formerly (not Formally...blame predictive txt D, everybody else does for typos) in the top 6 - which we were...for one season.
