Ronald Koeman discussion

Hopefully yes. I know we say it every year but this summers transfer window will show if we mean business or not no excuses, koeman will have had a full season to assess the squad and walsh a full year identify targets .A quick decision on lukaku if he is staying also a quick sale at top dollar if he we decide to sell

2 CBs with pace and power are essential, as is a quality creative midfielder. We need pace all over the park.

He's got to say that. I think it's good psychology. How would you feel if you were one of the youngsters who were thrown into the lions den and the person who threw you in then came out and said you were all crap and you should be ashamed of yourself.
I disagree. If you tell your players your proud of them after they perform poorly their mindset will be one that poor performances are acceptable

Going public about O'Neill was a move to put pressure on him to not do it again, it's an intelligent move.

I know you like weak managers who don't have the balls to tell the truth and just say we were phenomenal all the time but most people don't.

Eve of a derby ...... and you were slating our manager, bit rich of you talking about how other people act when you go on like a major bell all the time.
You see what Koeman has been doing with the McCarthy issue as a sign of strength? Lol. It's pathetically weak. A man who just can't get it into his head that in international games he never had a leg to stand on over players turning out for their countries....just like you can't get it into your head. He has brought the club into disrepute with his antics on this.

I felt embarrassed on Saturday that this feller is our manager. We'd just been snotted by a terrible Liverpool team ,which he was the architect of, and he's standing in front of the cameras with a face like a smacked arse continuing the O'Niell stuff. He looked out of control and a complete 'kin amateur. He's lost the plot over this and shown himself up as a man who has poor judgement.

Big local squabble, meaningless in terms of achieving anything.

Entirely consistent.

Take no notice, Dave.

As ever (almost) you were spot on.

Once the season ended home to Foxes in the Cup, you said the improved results in the aftermath were as a result of the pressure being off and normal service would be resumed when we came to the pressure games.

Soon as we got back into outside contention for a serious move up the table, even attack the fourth CL spot and faced two really significant away games where a win really catapulted us into the mix, at the Lane and at the Pit, we capitulated.

Badly.

So not the 2 most important games of the season then?? just 2 big games because they're against our local rivals

Big difference
I don't know about you but the derbies ARE our most important games of the season. But this last one's significance was zero for anything other than local pride.

It really isn't that hard to understand once you've got your thinking cap on, honestly it isn't. Try it.

We had a chance to close the gap to 3 points to a team fighting for top 4, there was slightly more than local pride at stake.

Not sure he will have said the same behind closed doors

Probably right but I'd have more time for him coming out and informing the fans that he is dissapointed and angry and that he is determined to not let this happen again

Saying he is proud makes it look like he is accepting playing poor is fine and as a fan it then makes you think does he even care? I know Koeman does care about lots of things but I want a manager who shows a bit more determination

Spot on mate. It was all perfectly predictable. The comical thing is that the manager who works with those players every day hasn't sussed that out yet. Anyone with any passing knowledge of this group of players know they're jellyfish when push comes to shove.

Maybe he should play more kids Dave?

I notice the shouts of playing the kids have died down recently.....
