Everton Summer transfers 2021

This reeks of the classic strategy from the club of having already signed a player (Rondon), and then when everyone thinks they haven’t signed a single player, they announce him at 11.20pm so people are relieved we’ve actually managed to get someone in.
I’ve no doubt the Rondon deal is already done.

We've always got one to announce after the deadline.

I don't think it's a point of not having money, but rather we're stuck with a wage bill versus turnover that needs significantly reducing.

Letting Kean go on a loan/eventual purchase isn't enough for what we need when you consider we've already exceeded that with Townsend and Gray.

It feels like a financial enema will be applied to the club next Summer, with tons of contracts going. So we suck up the cock ups made, and reset then.

Hands are tied with FFP, so the money is going on the stadium instead. Self-explanatory really.

Benitez appointed to keep the ship steady in the top half in the meantime which he will and hopefully push for Europe at least.
But he's let us get into the mess with FFP. we have been woefully run as a football club since he's been here.

Prioritising a stadium over winning football matches is unacceptable.

The stadium is the clubs future. Why spend another 200 mill just to finish in pretty much the same position anyway?

Is it not a good thing he's decided to pause throwing good money after bad on the team?

Everton logic.. 4 or 5 managers in the bin, a couple of DOF's later and another season with no sign of a right back. Next window we sign 3 right backs. (and give 5yr extension to Kenny and Coleman)

The DOF should have been finding buyers (or takers) this summer. If he cant do it then find someone who can.
Nobody wants our players because they aren't very good, but are on superstar salaries. If brands was to blame for all of them, then moshiri is to blame for sitting back and doing nothing.

New stadiums in no way guarantee success. Just look at the decline at Arsenal since Highbury. City are probably the exception to the rule. Most teams struggle with the transition to a new home ground.
