I would say Brands has been made accountable by the person who counts - and he has appointed him to the board as a reward for his efforts.

Sickening mate, because it appears thats what its all for. I like the idea of Brands, looking into his history and seeing how he developed clubs was good - right now I am 100% in the I think its time for him to leave, he is not doing anything from what I can see. I don't see that happening though with his promotions etc.

I would literally pay the club to see a honest interview with him and unsworth about these issues - other clubs are very upfront and honest, why cant we.

Hold on attampts were made for an RB but were shot down by selling clubs bear in mind our finances are not exactly top notch.

How was he to know DCL and Richie would be injured at the same time? As for cover Gordon, Simms?

Calvert lewin has been the only recognised striker we've had for 2 years. Richarlison isnt an up top back goal centre forward.

Not quite right, Kean was supposed to be the one but look what happened there.

Oh leave off. Kean hasnt settled here since day 1. So that should have been addressed as the likelyhood is he wasnt going to be here.
The bottom line is its his job description.

The problem is Moshiri has naively put his trust in the snake oil salesman Kenwright who is renowned for being a "footballing man".

Moshiri: "how is Brands doing in his role Mr Chairman?"

Kenwright: "marvelous Farhad marvelous you seen that Richarlison lad? wow what a player. You seen that Yerry Mina oh my Farhad Uncle Cyril just loved a big specimen like him at CB. Give him a new contract".

That's what we are up against.

Moshiri should cop some of the blame - he’s put in a DoF and then seemingly appointed “named” managers over his head who don’t appear willing or able to kow tow to such a post.

I genuinely don’t think brands does anything- no authority over the senior team and from the outside it looks like absolutely nothing has changed in the academy- how many years is unsworth going to be given to continually produce no-one to join the first team

Yeah not really sure what he does tbh, most of our signings have been former players of our newly hired managers so he either isn't doing his job or isn't being allowed to.

Benitez won't play the same card he did at Newcastle against the owner but I'm sure brands will be in his sights McNulty will be the first of many expecting O'Keefe,boyland,Joyce penning similar articles.
