The Chelsea auction just showed how many people would be interested in buying a PL club, and were willing to spend £3 billion with another extra billion to spend on a new ground.

Seems the appetite for Billionaires attracted to the PL is strong and Everton would be a bargain if they want to still buy a PL club.

Lets hope one comes forward fast, ive not given up hope just yet, a fairy godmother came out of the shadows once when Peter J was majority owner, hopfully one can now pick Farad off and move us forward.

P&S is a load of BS, the moment they decided to implement it AFTER Chelsea and City had their dreams come true was just a kick in the nads for every other football club who had any ambitions of breaking into the CL, it is more or less a closed shop now.

The wage budget needs to be reduced substantially. I'm thinking like 50m less.

The only way we can sustain those sort of wages is by selling one player for a high fee every year, and that's not very sustainable either

Agreed and that's scary. Where could we possibly reduce ~850k a week? Out of contract is maybe 300-350k. That leaves a 500k a week black hole. Selling players and replacing them with lower salaries isn't that easy when you're talking such a large number.

To be fair they are probably right.

The Super League came at he right time for us, if you are looking at the scale of consequences the PL could impose - should they wish - id suggest we would have a strong case in terms of lesser sanctions - though the PL look like they will turn a blind eye all together, they've known about these results since March 2021.

If we stay up - a club that goes down in our stead may kick up a fuss, like West Ham and Sheff Utd all those years ago.

We need to finish 16th at least to avoid being sued
