Nelson Dock

I did say if they had anything about them they’d buy up the adjacent waterfront. Stop others getting it and press our advantage in that location.
Definitely should and hopefully will. The only issue would/would have been if the land had been sold or determined to not be for sale. Excited to follow any progress on this, hopefully it's deep into discussions already.

The Friedkin group are in negotiations with Peel Ports about buying Nelson Dock, but would they allow another dock to be filled in ?
They might want to preserve it for future heritage, although i think Everton would want to build a hotel on the reclaimed land

I'm not a fan of that park idea in between BMD and the princes dock, this is an area which has huge potential - overly ambitious for a cruise departure and terminal? Why does everyone have to go all the way to Southampton?

Of course provide some greenery and ensure partial pieces of the docks are kept like with what the stadium has done.

Parks won't create jobs and tourism.

Think there already is a cruise terminal in Liverpool.

Yes, quite famously so.

There was even a small Navy ship parked up there recently.

Whatever they build will need to be low level as to not impact the view back to the city from the South Stand level 02. Having worked on the stadium for 4 years, there is a fair bit of wildlife in Nelson Dock as it is more freshwater linked into the canal systems, so there'll be an obstacle to getting approval to infill. The Nelson Dock quays are wide enough currently to make use of the land in some form whether it's parking or just quayside bars and restaurants. From a business POV ideally you'd like to keep the fans back after the game to spend money in your own establishments rather than them heading back into town.

I'm going for part parking and part of an extension of the massive fan plaza that is already at the new stadium.

I could see them wanting to knock up an arena bigger than the M&S Bank just so we could have a monopoly on the concerts and stuff that are being held in Town. However, that would take away from the view of the south stand, and as the Co-Op Live build shows, its not exactly smooth sailing atm.
