Watched "Control" the other night, a biopic about Joy Division lead singer Ian Curtis. Even though its been out since 2007 i never even knew it existed. A good soundtrack obviously but told the harrowing story of his short life affected by epilepsy really well.
Worth a watch if you havent already.
A recent one i read to add to the thread was " We Play On" by Andy Brassell.
A decent read covering about the last 15 years or so of the Shaktar Donetsk story, so as you can guess with whats happened in that part of the world since 2014, a lot of the book isnt actually about football. Quite a...
Not sure if already posted but these took over Hertha earlier in the year and oversaw (admittedly already on the cards) relegation from the Bundesliga, a major sell off of players, and Hertha are now bottom of the 2. Bundesliga.
By all accounts they aren't exactly popular with Hertha fans.
Decided to take the advice of Kurt, Eggs and Boris and took the £70;)
I'd also done a few quid each way on Min Woo Lee and Viktor Hovland before the start so i'll be cheering them on from now. And obviously from a blue point of view i'd like to see Tommy do it but i didnt back him so he's 3rd...
Edit to previous post. 1 hour later and its now lashing down and meant to most of the day so going to make the course extra long and the rough more difficult.
On a side note, was chatting to a fella yesterday from Arizona that was over to watch the tournament. To say the poor guy couldnt get...
I got him at 110/1 but only had £1.25 E/W on him for a bit of fun.
They are offering me £70 cash out this morning.
Tempted by it to be honest as i cant see him being as good as he has been over the first 2 rounds if the weather gets bed. Although i am currently sat here in work about half a...
Very selfish of me i know, but these rare West Coast majors are boss for me to watch. I am in work till just after midnight then it will be straight home to watch this a bit more closely than the usual as i had a fiver E/W on Fowler before the start at 45s ⛳
If you liked the La Chouffe Blonde try and get your hands on Houblon Chouffe by the same brewery. It's a 9.1 % IPA type but just slips down so easily. Pretty difficult to get hold of, at least in the UK, but well worth the trouble
Thanks for the birthday wishes comrades. Just about recovered now. These hangovers are way worse at 50.
As are Everton who went from winning the FA Cup on my birthday (1984) to beating Palace to stay up (2022). If the trend continues i predict we'll win the National League on May 19th 2050 :drunk:
Gone with Cameron Young at 28/1 and Jason Day at 25/1, both each way.
I think Scheffler on current form will take some beating but as others have mentioned, 7/1 isn't great value.
Missed "Escape at Dannemora" when it came out in 2018 and just finished it the other day. Highly recommended if you have never seen it, based on a true story about a prison break in the US in 2015.
Outstanding performances from Benicio del Toro and Patricia Arquette.
Just finished "From."
Apparently came out earlier this year but i only just found it on the IPTV. It was described as Sci Fi / horror series which i wouldn't normally rave about as a genre, but i found it a decent watch and would recommend. Harold Perrineau was quality as the lead role.
8/10
Agree with most already posted on here but from my younger years i'd like to add Heldenbrau, Wrexham Lager and those super sized cans of Danish Lager called Faxe. All horrific creations that should be used for cleaning toilets.
