ive made a complaint

the officials were a disgrace i want their licences revoked, how was that not a penalty and a goal for distin!!!

I don't think it matters too much who we play now, it's not a final. Playing AC Milan/Chelsea or Inter/Valencia will be another great occasion for the fans out there and another great exercise.

Pretty much, playing Chelsea would be a little disappointing for those over there, but not enough to be too bothered about the mess they've put themselves in - we'll get another good run out before the season starts and that's the main thing. It's fairly clear the tournament organisers are a bit of a joke though, it turned from a fairly straight forward knock-out tournament into some bizarre points based group system in which not everyone plays each other and doesn't actually work properly.

Yeah, to end up playing Chelsea would be slightly disappointing. The American's would stop play every 5 minutes for adverts if they had their own way.
 
Post 1 of this thread.. The rules have always been the same, they just didnt do a very good job of explaining it to anyone as no one seemed to get it.

They should have fully explained the nature of the "championship rounds". At no point on that post from back in May does it state that the losers from the Semis go into the 3rd place playoff, although common sense would dictate they would

It's a knockout miced with round robin. The losers of first two games on the left side (Galaxy and Juventus) play and the winner of those plays the winner of the game between the two losers on the right hand side (Valencia v Inter?)

Then the losers of the 2nd round on both sides play each other (Everton v AC/Chelsea) fir the 3rd place play off

If it was Valencia or Inter then the same rule would apply to our side of the draw and we'd be in the 3rd place match, which we aren't.

Yeeah I overlooked that sorry. But to clarify what I was trying to say is that we're in the 5th place match.

6th place trophy eh lads?
