It's not just single mothers it's just anyone having loads of kids they can't afford. To see the society that would bring about you should watch the comedy Idiocracy or is it a documentary.

Man and wife living in Liverpool decide they want a child, what is the absolute minimum joint annual wage you think they should be on?

And, if the man ups and leaves once the child is born, what should the woman do to improve her financial situation?

I wonder what's the percentage of kids born out of wedlock where the father stays the whole term until the kid is 18 or they get married.

If parents who aren't wed get divorced then the mother gets very little support from the father finacially meaning the state has to pick up the rest of the costs. At least if they break up when married the mother has more protection and therefore costs the tax payer less.
its the same percentage of your wage if married or not, has been for years unless you make private arrangements, through tbe courts

Wasn't too sure about this Conservative government getting in but I have to say, taking a hardline stance on the SNP by saying there won't be another referendum, and scrapping the terrible Human Rights Act? It's a good start. Not to mention reforming the British Broadcasting Communists' license fee.

By scrapping the Human Rights Act the Tories are going to make it harder for UK citizens to access fundamental rights that they will still be protected by under the European Convention on Human Rights. For any one who is Eurosceptic, this isn't one in the eye for Europe. This is one in the eye for ordinary folks like you and me.

You should be asking yourselves why would your government want to make it harder protect your fundamental.......

Right to life
Freedom from torture and inhuman or degrading treatment
Right to liberty and security
Freedom from slavery and forced labour
Right to a fair trial
No punishment without law
Respect for your private and family life, home and correspondence
Freedom of thought, belief and religion
Freedom of expression
Freedom of assembly and association
Right to marry and start a family
Protection from discrimination in respect of these rights and freedoms
Right to peaceful enjoyment of your property
Right to education
Right to participate in free elections

These rights were drawn up after WWII. It's safe to say that millions of people died for us to have them. The move is an absolute disgrace.

Would you say that to this single mum ?

Around half of them had children in wedlock/relationships,of which just under 65% work, that rises to around 71% when the child reaches teenage, and the average time of being a single parent is around 5 years

It's a problem with society not with individuals. I don't blame anyone personally.

Not that you give a crap.

Listen , mate. I'm single through divorce . I have provided for my kids , including the youngest who stayed with his mother . My eldest are 24 and 20. I do NOT receive a penny in benefits . So don't you dare tar all single parents with the same Katie Hopkins-like brush .

No mate, we already had these rights and continue to have them today....,they were drawn up for the despot countries who committed genocide and the like upon their own people. To insinuate that we would not have them otherwise is to insult everything that our country stood for and fought for.............
