Mate, your arguments are beginning to lose credibility.

Just run through again why Labour wants to make cuts "in public services for existing citizens" ?
Because they can't afford them just like the Tories. Look at it this way. Labour have a lot of people who vote Labour employed in the public services.

To keep them employed they need to increase their revenue (tax) to pay their wages.

However per citizen we actually see a cut because the demand increases where in real terms it stays the same.

Sorry mate, you've lost me now completely. I genuinely do not understand the above.

And you're just lying or misinformed if you don't think immigrants take social housing. I've seen it happen with whole neighbourhoods close to where I live. WHOLE neighbourhoods. We're talking close to a few hundred people all of one ethnic background.

Whole neighbourhoods taken? Taken from who? Did they not apply for the accommodation and were they not then offered the opportunity to live there? Are you comfortable that the ethnic background is foreign or are they British Ethnics?
If not and you genuinely feel that the occupants are 'taking' something you believe should be going to UK citizens, do you think that the housing associations are deliberately discriminating? Its getting a bit far fetched.

Btw. The housing problem in many areas would be well on its way to being resolved if 2nd home ownership wasnt so prevalent

I'll try to illustrate this with a nice equation. :cool:

Total cost of public services : T
Cost of public services per tax payer : S
No of tax payers : N

T := N*S

If the no of tax payers increases however T stays the same then S has to decrease. That's a cut per individual tax payer.

e.g.

Existing

T=100
N=10
S=10

With immigration

T=100
N=11
S=9.09

So an increase in the population (N) of 10% has essentially come at a cost of to the existing citizen as a cut by 10% of public services (S) if the total spending on public services (T) remain constant.

Hence Labour could effectively make cuts in real terms without actually having to admit to making cuts. They're geniuses these politicians and all full of crap.

I understand the maths thank you. I don't understand your assertion that Labour wants to make cuts in public services.

It was student housing which was bought by the housing executive.

I'm not uncomfortable at all. I don't think it's good policy to create ethnic areas but I also understand why people all of one background want to live together.

My point was just simply that it happens not whether you think it's right or not. I hate the fact that people engage dishonestly in these conversations. By doing that you push people to fringe parties and that's more dangerous than having the discussion.

Because they need to make the same cuts as the Tories. So instead of decreasing T they want to increase N. That's what they mean by growth but it's not really growth at all.
