2023/2024 Kits Thread

Nike, adidas and even under armour or castore provide modern kits which people want to wear and buy.

When we got our first Nike kit about ten years ago people where lining up outside the store on the release day.

Hummel have the worst designers and marketing and it's showing evidently.

Do you do little Fortnite dances in the street and use words like “leng” mate?

Best of the Hummel shirts so far. Still doesn't really do much for me like. Also, I think a lot who don't like it will see it differently when you see a kids one with no sponsor, that Stake logo is so bad it could even knock a few points off Scarlet Johanson, never mind a footy shirt.

I want to wear a swoosh?

There's a reason those companies provide kits to the biggest clubs, if people on this forum had their way we'd be wearing kits from the 70's.

I don't know one person who goes to buy Hummel gear.
I want to wear a shirt that has my clubs crest on it, couldn't give a tin turd about what's on the other side of the chest.
Sorry you're in pain this morning, but I'm sure you'll get over it!

Not a fan of that at all. It looks cheap and messy. The lattice on the collar is tacky.
It's lazy and woeful.

But then that's Everton for you. They've even tried (unsuccessfully) to put a water mark of this design on the new stadium.

They are utterly bankrupt of fresh ideas.

A lazy arse club who consult idiots who tell them "it's key to Everton's identity" and simply go with what that.

Someone's just said on Twitter that it's the best kit they've seen in their lifetime. Thought about it, and I don't think there's that many kits we've had over the years that are miles better than the new one, I suppose. I loved the 2007/08 kits the best, thought they were all superb, but this one isn't far off!

Pretty sure Nike has the biggest marketing budget in the world, people buy their kits when they don't even support the teams they make them for.
That exactly my point. The marketing people present the swoosh and people go weak at the knees. If you're seen wearing the emperor's new swoosh it compensates for all your other inadequacies in your life and makes you feel special- even though you're wearing a fiver's worth of mass produced fabric with acznt regard or effort to design. All the d3sign effort eas done 40 years ago in the swoosh. Honestly Hi-Tec did a better job and better stuff, but lacked the US con men to create a "cool" image.

Marketing over substance.

Not reading that essay bro.

I know what sells and what looks good.

Nike made us cookie cutter kits

Adidas would do the same and would have to incorporate the 3 stripes making it look less like an Everton kit

Castore are garbage, ask Rangers, Villa and Newcastle fans

Hummel have gave us unique designs every season and have generally sold well
