2023/2024 Kits Thread

Nike made us cookie cutter kits

Adidas would do the same and would have to incorporate the 3 stripes making it look less like an Everton kit

Castore are garbage, ask Rangers, Villa and Newcastle fans

Hummel have gave us unique designs every season and have generally sold well

Three stripes would make it less an Everton kit? As opposed to chevrons?

My word, leave the commercial and marketing to people who are experts please.

I want to wear a swoosh?

There's a reason those companies provide kits to the biggest clubs, if people on this forum had their way we'd be wearing kits from the 70's.

I don't know one person who goes to buy Hummel gear.

With the big companies like; Nike and Adidas they have 2 separate tiers though, the champions league teams and everyone else. They might pay the champions league teams tens of millions of pounds a season to make their kits, but the other teams they pay a pittance, adidas deal with Leicester is £4m a year. Much less than we get from Hummel or got from Umbro.
Also for the fans, when you get Nike and Adidas, the price goes up. Look at the price of new kits for Man Utd, £110 for the real one.

Nike, adidas and even under armour or castore provide modern kits which people want to wear and buy.

When we got our first Nike kit about ten years ago people where lining up outside the store on the release day.

Hummel have the worst designers and marketing and it's showing evidently.
You just have no taste. Hummel do lovely kits.

Nobody but Everton fans (and the odd collector) want to wear an Everton shirt regardless of the design anyway.

The only way that changes is to be successful on the pitch.

That's your opinion and you're welcome to that.

I find Hummel kits look cheap and jarg as opposed to the bigger brands.

Pretty sure Nike has the biggest marketing budget in the world, people buy their kits when they don't even support the teams they make them for.
Not that true.

They will buy them for the big clubs. Most shops only stock 8-10 teams anyway.

Anyone walking around with a "lesser" clubs shirt has either got the shirt at a good price or likes to collect shirts etc. Either way its not a massive amount of people.
