United, Wolves, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Forest.

That run suggests we'll be bottom of the league by Jan 1. Think I'd expect 2 points from this run. That would put us on 13 points from 19 games.

January also has Bournemouth away, Villa and Spurs home and then Brighton away.

Don't think people are realising how significantly tougher the next 12 fixtures are compared to the opening 12. No promoted teams, no out of form teams like West Ham. Just teams in top half one after the other with many players who can decide tight games in an instance. And the worst is Wolves who've just won 4-1 away to Fulham and have an amazing recent record at Goodison.

I honestly feel like we have two things that can save us this season.

Man city getting a massive punishment and taking up the third relegation place.

Or we get a better manager and he is given a decent budget in January to improve the quality in the team.

Man. City will just appeal and appeal so any points deduction that does drop on them won't take effect this season imo. In any case they'll still finish on close to 90 points so could need -55 to finish above them in that scenario!

The better manager and signing better players is the logical route to take. It worked for Newcastle when they ditched Steve Bruce three seasons ago after all.

Don't be shocked to be in continuous relegation battles when you appoint a manager used to being in relegation battles ( and has been relegated ), and who thinks 17th would be a great season.

Not sure we are, given our fixtures so far I'd say we're on track for about 32.

You'll see a negative one dimensional manager against an ambitious attacking mindset manager.
