2024/25 Relegation Thread

Last season we were effectively mid table whilst playing peak Dyche ball, all the luck injuries wise and set piece wise was going for us. We had a terrible xG and xGA (if not for blocks) and we rode our luck massively.

Very similar side to the one that struggled under Benitez, Lampard - there’s no quality in it. No athleticism, no pace, no technical quality.
Agree, if one position and player summarises the decline in quality for me over these years is left back, we went from a top 6 full back in baines, to a top 10 in digne to Myko who for me is a championship level full back, will no back up and no youth prospects

The reality is we have had a huge decline in net spend and with that quality

It’s like watching Villa when they went down.

I wonder if their fans were this kind to their players.

Villa actually gives me hope that the situation can improve, with the stadium bringing a huge ramp in revenue plus more high earners dropping off the wage bill at the end of the season

Whether or not that results in a relegation short term is 50/50 for me, I think if we'd been relegated a couple of years ago things could have been worse as the new stadium would have been a long way off still

We are in a worse position points wise than we were for the last 3 seasons (15/14/14 ).
Add to that the players and manager seem to have all but thrown the towel in and don't see there futures at the club.
It is a very serious situation we have to beat Wolves on Wednesday as there looks like we are unlikely to get any more points in December.Hopefully as soon as the FKN takeover is done we will get a new manager in as make no mistake Dyche is taking us down.

Wolves H
RS H
Arsenal A
Chelsea H
Man City A
Forest H
Bournemth A
Villa H
Spurs H
Brighton A

I'm dreading the next 10 fixtures - if we get a point anywhere I'll celebrate it like winning the Cup
If we manage to score, I'll celebrate that too...
A team that turns up and gives the opposition a game? Please.

We are in deep doodoo
At what point does Dyche get the bullet?
