2024/25 Relegation Thread

I get some of the teams are bad, but is there? 8 matches and 7 losses 1 draw with the worst goal difference in the league.

I thought they were going to be in trouble last season when they had to sell 100m+ more than they bought and gut the squad, forced to buy Cunha. They did surprisingly well, but then this season they had to sell again, and lost 7 key players in 2 seasons. Their staying up I would say is all based on their recruitment this past summer and how well the bargain signings they did bed in by the end of the year. So far of the 8 outfield players they signed not named Cunha, they have played only 1000 minutes.

Didn't Newcastle have 3 points from first 10 games when they sacked Steve Bruce in 21/22? They stayed up very comfortably in the end and that was without Howe even winning any of his first 5 IIRC.

If they beat Palace and Southampton at home then that would be 7 points from first 11 which will have them in touch with the places above the bottom 3.

I dont remember that, but looking at it Id say the big difference is Newcastle was +130m net spend the two summers, and Wolves -100m. Newcastle had 230m more talent than Wolves have right now. Sure, some of their bargains could pay off, but staying up is a big ask for them right now.

Think we can pencil in Ipswich and Saints already. Wolves are decent but you have to get points. Leicester and Palace are both wild cards, could see them massively improve or drop off

At any rate i think we'll be okay
For me is the psr results for this season you would think leicester would get a similar charge to what we had first. I am not sure if they could do what we did and pick up the results fast, is decemeber for me if we can puck up some good results then and be clear from the bottom 3 i think should be ok. With the takeover getting finished and hopefully 1/3 players in jan

i said this yday december is brutal i don’t expect a thing and we always have injury’s that time

we NEED a gap to be above the bottom 3 in jan

Yeah i still think we can do it also have already had alot of injuries, so maybe by december even with alot games. Alot of players likes garner branwaite tim broja patterson coleman have not played alot of football so shoukr have more options to use the bench. Just need see where the team is before then hopefully is a bigger gap then if we even draw some of the tougher games we still have protection

maybe broja will help/chermiti?

we need to buy in january

You would like to think so was down to moshiri not wanting to put money in for down payments for players. To have another player on the right with pace would help massively, can also see beto off so maybe another striker comes in. Should definatley be in a better position hopefully and can aim higher
