….3 wins and a few draws by Christmas would see us on course for safety with my benchmark.

That's on course for comfortable mid table, the reality for safety is more like 16 points at the halfway mark. Hard to see 3/4 teams cracking 30 points.

What's going on with Palace this season? Obviously you've lost Olise and Andersen. But you looked really good under Glasner towards the end of last season. I thought you'd be pushing for Europe rather than going winless

A number of things coming together;
Lost Olise + the experienced Ayew and Andersen. Eze in complete loss of form. Mateta and Nketiah seemingly can’t play together. Wharton has a niggle picked up at the Euros which will need minor surgery, Doucoure injured again. Glasner struggling to put out a settled team - more selection changes than any other PL club this season apparently. It will probably sort itself out over time, but yes, disappointing so far.

Every team down here will have a similar list of fixtures like this. Wolves have just done theres and got 1 point so we have to better that and so on.

Yes absolutely crap and unacceptable, but we'd probably be outside the bottom three, with the hardest part of the season behind us, with new owners and a transfer window about to open.

We got 9 points from them fixtures last year we had a similair run last December when everyone said we wouldnt get a point. Football doesnt go to plan and we will take points from that run without doubt. Even 7 points would do as its 1 point a game.
