The support the team argument is just a lot of nonsense is my point. It's used as a convenient excuse by clappers to put down other fans and to try to make themselves feel superior supporters. It's also nothing more than meaningless buzzwords. Supporting the team and putting up with garbage football and inept leadership off the field, has got us nowhere, except from a spiral of terminal decline.

It is a given that people support the team. The supporters are the only reason this club is in the top flight this season. The fact you keep questioning other supporters just backs up my point, that the support the club argument is just a way for people to sneer and put down other supporters.

But supporting the team and supporting the club are very different. I will support any Everton football team who step onto a football field. However I will not support the club when they make repeated mistakes and bad decisions off the field, and I will not support a board, chairman and owner who I believe are not capable of running a successful football club.
