#27 Years/NSNOW/#AllTogetherNow Fan Campaign

I never said it was complex. I said it was bound to cause frustration to a person or persons at some point. And people talk about the conduct of this group when the conduct of some fans opposing it is highly questionable.
If you want to put yourself forward as a group to be respected and you're looking for support then getting frustrated with people who actually agree with you because some other people were mean to you once is just stupid and counter productive. People who think Kenwright can't do any wrong are crazy, people who think he's at fault for everything bad that's ever happened and everything will magically get better when he's gone are equally crazy. This idea of 'if you're not with us you're against us' is one of the biggest obstacles to movements like this gaining any traction, and yet they manage to dig the same hole for themselves every single time. It's genuinely incredible.

I agree with you it’s counter productive, I’m saying I can understand it to an extent that it can eventually cause frustration in a person given the volume of abuse particularly from fans who have zero intention of seeing change. I can think of a lot worse things to say to an abusive person than “you get the club you deserve”

What’s the thought process in going about it differently or something that has a chance of causing less aggravation . I’ve asked another poster there about how to go about uniting more of the fans and he hasn’t replied yet.

But as i've said, much of this isn't aimed at people who are being abusive. You only have to go back 2 pages to see one fan basically saying 'I'm not sure how to go about it but i agree with the principle of what they're saying' and someone responding effectively saying 'you're part of the problem you just need to do exactly what i'm doing you idiot'. Immediately someone who may have been a supporter turns their back on the movement because of the actions of the people involved, without having said anything negative nevermind abusive.

I'm not sure if the second bit is for real? How can you cause less aggravation than by getting aggressive and condescending towards everyone who has a view even slightly different to yours? Well, by NOT getting aggressive and condescending to everyone who has a view even slightly different to yours, obviously. Whether that will unite enough fans is a different matter, but it will undoubtedly unite more.

The second part was meant to be about their overall strategy because people are complaining that they do these things such as the letters without consulting fellow fans. “Super Blues” as one fan put it earlier this thread.

So I’m basically asking people about ideas about how to go about it better and how to better strategise going forward.

Just read the letter.

Pedant that I am, DBB became CEO in summer 20218 - therefore this is not accurate:

In the near seven years since you acquired your initial shareholding you have persisted in retaining the current Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

The impact of a letter such as this is undermined when a simple fact as this is not proofed properly.
.

Appointed in 20218?

The board is a nightmare, most people agree. When you start claiming that people who don't see things the exact same way as you are 'part of the problem' and 'get what they deserve' then you alienate a huge portion of the fanbase and lose a lot of potential support. This is such a blindingly obvious point that you'd have to be monumentally stupid not to understand it, and yet time after time the people running these things fall into the same trap. It's a quite incredible piece of ongoing self sabotage.

Can you show me where the 27 campaign have stated re part of the problem, get what you deserve etc.

Id bet my last shilling you can't.

It's been some time since I posted on this forum.
Regarding the #27campaign and the open letter to Farhad Moshiri the single objective is to bring some accountability to the owner and the decisions he has made particularly in his retention of the Chairman and CEO.

The reasons for questioning his decision making in this regard are self evident. Underperforming on the pitch to the point our Premier League survival is no longer guaranteed and off pitch performance that would be tolerated by few if any shareholders in normal business circumstances.

I understand not every Blue will agree with the substance nor the approach of this campaign. That's fine particularly as we've never claimed to represent all Evertonians.

What we do represent though is a group of people determined to hold the owner, board and executive to account and seek changes which will see the club improve both on and of the pitch.

That, I believe, is a perfectly rational and normal reaction to seeing the club you love, and in many cases have generations of one's own family supporting the club, failing to address issues which threaten our existence as a top flight club let alone a club competing for trophies.
I am not convinced that given a number of things you have done previously, you are in any way the right person to be at the front of the campaign.

I would call for you to step back as it will allow a better discussion and for the group to be more centralised.

Ideally we need the stadium up and running, with a sponsor so we have a bigger income then we can kick off. Until that point, we have to all be united, like we were the back end of last season. Take our eyes off the pitch and put heat on the board and all it does is give the players an easy way out, the manager gets thrown under the bus and then how many are left that see its a viable project or just an easy payday.

How would I be able to tell the difference?

Someone has done it on here in the last hour. Certainly some of the twitter accounts which are aligned with the campaign have gone down that route at times, although i'm sure that the campaign's own account hasn't if you're trying to claim that as a distinction.

Why do I get the feeling you are related to the esk and his podcast somehow. Even the way you speak is materially the same with your last shilling business.

Blind faith in one fallible individual is never a good thing.

These boys are all about trying to kick up a fuss and then when fans say “we don’t agree with that”, they make a distinction saying that it didn’t come from the official party line.

It’s either they think the fans are stupid enough not to realise a contradiction when they see one or they just think they speak for the peoples club and are not accountable to us average forum dwellers and match goers

The 27 campaign should have respectfully raised these questions through the FAB who have been elected for these such particular things.

Those questions look like they've been asked by an 8 year old on Going Live. Business dictates that some or most of that information remains confidential. 'What's Mr Moshiri's view on ownership?' Give me a break! He's already given you the public version in July. He's not about to tell everyone he's desperately seeking other investors or we are going to be on skid row now as he? To do that undermines any negotiations he goes into to try and act from a position of strength, which would then work negatively for us as a club and thus the fan base as a whole. The pointing out we were the best of the rest before he turned up is just crap as well as we were already flirting with the lower part of the table due to the fact that we lost steady Eddie Davey and everyone else were getting cash rich.

I would like Kenwright gone as much as the next man and FWIW I think that will happen within the next 2 years anyhow. As soon as the stadium is open he will be gone by the end of that season.

Thinking that this grand gesture does anything is laughable, it's alright to chase your owners out if you are self sufficient (a Utd/Chelsea/Arsenal) or if you know there is an owner in waiting that is happy to splash the cash on success (A J.Ratcliffe etc.) and then there is this, the equivalent of picking up the broken down bus and throw it over the precipice, as at least it is now moving and there is always a chance we could land on something soft...

With the greatest respect, fans have been united behind the team for the most part. Don’t forget the issues such as going into the season having to play the likes of Gordon up front , poor performances and results.

For years, We have stunk, flattered to deceive without any protests or heat on the board. Look at the last two games, some questionable attitudes from players in those games which resulted in some supporters showing frustration and anger at the final whistle.

You can still support the manager and players whilst highlighting what’s gone on above .
