Not being used much at Utd and we need a No.10. A real one!

Now don't get me wrong, this would be the best signing I think we could make, but I would think there will be bigger, wealthier and more competitive (CL) teams that would be in for him.

We can dream though cant we!

The hype surrounding Gerard Deulofeu continues to grow in the aftermath of his excellent equaliser for Everton at Arsenal on Sunday.

In Barcelona they were tremendously excited about Deulofeu and this has gone up a notch in recent days, since the goal at the Emirates.

On Wednesday, El Mundo Deportivo report that Deulofeu’s release clause at Barcelona currently stands at 35 million euros.

All players that come through La Masia reportedly have the same release clause and Deulofeu’s was agreed when he signed a new Barcelona contract last summer until May 2017.

El Mundo Deportivo add that Deulofeu’s release clause of just 35 million euros could be a worry for Barcelona in the coming months.

Whilst Everton would be unable to pay such a fee – unless they were to reach the Champions League next season – the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea would all be able to pay this price for one of the hottest prospects in the world.

Finally, El Mundo add that Barcelona expect Deulofeu to be part of their first team squad in 2014/2015 and see it as unlikely that he will stay at Goodison Park beyond this campaign.

I must of read the article wrong, I bet it was saying we was going to bid around £10m for him cos I thought it said his release clause was around that.

Doesn't mean he'll leave Barca for €35m though!

Very true mate, but I do think it'll be closer to £20mil than £10mil.

We are in agreement though, would love him back. I do seem to remember something about him saying that he would never come back to England though as he didnt like the league?

I don't tink it'll be that much either mate, £15m tops maybe, with a buy back option?! But I'd love him back at us.

It is a wind up pal. I'm sure Deulofeu as a release clause close to £10m.

I'm sure at the time we signed him on loan this was stated IF we attempted to sign him outright, and since going back to Barca he hasn't signed a new deal or anything and increased his release clause.

Deulofeu is having it tough at Sevilla, he's in and out of the team but we know what talent he as and what he's capable of and I'm not so sure he'll have much of a future at Barca so I'd love us to be in for him as he'd be class for us!
If Deulofeu had a £9.75 million release clause as you state someone would have bought him by now.

Funny how that turned out.

He is exactly what we need. A No.10 with creativity but who gets plenty of goals aswell. We seriously lack a player who can make things happen in final third and as that quality to open things up, see a better pass for the team and make a goal.

Come the summer I'd imagine his value would be something in the region of £15-20m?!! Say we did have a £30m kitty, I'd maybe sacrifice selling Mirallas (even though I like him and would rather keep) for around £10-14m, sign Rafael Silva for £8-10m to replace Mirallas, £16-18m on Firmino and £10m on Deulofeu and use what's left over to manoeuvre some cheap deals or loans.

Firmino has a 20 million euro release clause in the summer, he's a great player who would slot seamlessly into our team, but there's a chance Bayern will snap him before too long, but that's just German media speculation (they are right sometimes, more often than here really, but obviously they bring every good Bundesliga player up with Bayern as they more or less own that league). But I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Firmino in red from the summer, because he'd be a sort of typical Bayern signing: "cheap" in European elite's standards, proven in the German league, speaks the language already, is integrated in the country, but internationally having no particular reputation as he only plays for a mid-table Bundesliga club.

Van Dijk, Delboy, Ruffier.

Centre half, winger and a experienced goalkeeper, i think they are our priorities.
