I can't see us signing and selling that many players, unless we win the Europa league and are in the Champions League next year. I'm not saying I wouldn't like those players to come in

I can see Cleverly coming in and hopefully we sign 2 wide men, Goalkeeper and a Central Defender.

I think some players will leave, but I think it's more likely to be Pienaar, Mirallas and Howard

I think you're right about what we need.

GK - no idea who. Will go with the cool kids and demand a German

RB - I actually think Oviedo could do a job here. We certainly do need someone.

CB - would like to see us snatch Alderweireld - get Alacaraz back down to #4th choice where he belongs, and allows Galloway to go out on loan if he needs to get a few prem starts. Van Dijk would be a good alternative (and we might be able to palm Alcaraz or McGeady off to Celtic as part of the deal)

Wingers: I think we need more than two. Lennon and Atsu are not ours, Pienaar is possibly finished (sell him to Moyes?) and McGeady is turd. Even if Mirallas stays, I think we need three in.

The dream would be Yarmolenko (25 years old, just over a year left on his contract) and Deulofeu. If Lennon or Atsu really make a strong case for themselves in the next eight or ten games then one of them stays.

Backup striker: For me, this is actually Naismith's role. So I would instead buy someone who is primarily a 10, and remove the need for Naismith to play there. Sigurdsson was the man we should have gone for last year, and IMHO he is still is now. At 25 years old he's exactly the right age to come in as Osman's replacement, and he can split time at 10 with Barkley. That gives you Naismith and Kone as your backups to Lukaku.

So my £30m goes on:

Alderweireld or Van Dijk;
Yarmolenko, Deulofeu and (for argument's sake) Lennon;
Sigurdsson.

However I would guesstimate Yarmolenko as costing £10m, Deulofeu as £18m and Sigurdsson as £14m.... back to FIFA 15 for more inspiration.

Would like to see Lennon offered a transfer, and maybe another backup for Rom up front. Maybe give young Connor McAlaney a run.
 

Konoplyanka is a shout as he would fit in on the left side in the Pienaar mould. Something we are desperate to replace. Pienaar doesn't look like he's coming back in possibly move on?
Yarmelenko on the right would be a direct replacement for kev mirallas... He's seems certain to move on if we can get 15m+ and use it to bring in yarmelenko I would go for that.
Then we would have to go after a new centre back dragovic looked solid and only 24. Unlikely though.
Goalkeeper would need to be addressed. Maybe howard would move to MLS?
Right back cover would be ideal coleman plays a hell of a lot and hibbert is not getting any younger.
John Joe kenny looks a decent right back try him out in preseason?
Finally there's a bit of dead wood about also couple of loans to be added :)

RB - we've got Browning & Jonjo Kenny .. plus an abundance of LB's .. skip.
CB - thought Galloway was making good progress. Van Dijk is a good shout .. 8m ?
Wingers - Delefeou please & a handy Bosnian
Cleverly is terrible, no please no .. we need someone who moves the ball around, accurately & quick, the next Pirlo would do.
Back-up striker - a pacey, narky type - Shane Long ?

.. and a decent GK ... sorry no idea who though.
 
I'd rather use Ledson along with McCarthy, Besic, Gibson and maybe Barkley and Baines as our midfielders and just forget about Cleverley. A new keeper and a new CB is our priority, and someone to replace the creativity of Osman and Pienaar.
 
Not even fighting Cleverley as its just bound to happen, he does strike me as a direct osman replacement which, judging how poor we've been without him this season, might not be such a bad thing. On a free we could do much worse.

You've got to be looking at the Ukranian lad on a free, though I'm sure in agents fees etc it'd cost us a few bob due to competition he would be worth it.

Mirallas will leave, and though I'm seeing shouts of £15m nobody will give us that for a player with a year left. Be lucky to get £10m which id take so we can fund a replacement. Dunno who, we could do better and worse than Lennon for sure. Would love Gerry to return.

New centre back, that Virgil fella at Celtic gets rave reviews. Alcaraz will get a new deal.

Go for Ings on a free, and then we're all covered up front.

Not spent much there, and we'd be better off you'd think.
