6 + 2 Point Deductions

I'm not sure why City's case requires every single misdemeanour to be fully covered. Surely the obvious/glaring ones can be handled while the others are worked on. As a strained analogy: they don't normally wait for every victim of a suspected serial killer to be identified before arresting the suspect.... normally one is enough to see them in court. How do you possibly amass 115 violations before proceedings are brought?
I assume they are all intertwined but most interestingly there’s a principle in law called Henderson vs Henderson which states that all claims that can be brought by one party against the same party should be brought at the same time. Saves tribunal/court time and is seen to be fairer on the defendant party.

For the judgement to also include a green light for other clubs to sue Everton underlines the objective of the PL here: to destroy Everton FC.

I actually thought the new stadium was a trump card in this investigation and that they wouldn't want to jeopardise it. That was wrong.
Can remember the exact wording but my interpretation of ‘the commissions’ comments was they pretty much said its nothing to do with us / outside our remit really, but think there’s grounds for other clubs to sue.
However it was worded i just though why say anything about it then?

What shocked me what the dismissal of all of mitigating arguments put forward. I know it wasn't a court, and I'm not a lawyer, but it was a quasi-judicial process and I thought credit would have been given for the club's successful attempts to reform. That was entirely flung out the window. Again, I would have thought the PL, as well as the club would have a joint interest in claiming credit there to showing the process is working..

Instead a club which admitted a breach of P&L sustainability rules but was found not to have acted dishonestly is put in and real and present threat of relegation which they know in turn threatens administration. It's hard not to think they don't want the club to fold and depart the scene altogether.

If that's the case, they have to set fire to everything in their path on the way out. I can accept punishment but I can't accept an institution of Evertons standing and history being held up as a sacrificial lamb and for all of the corruption, dirty money, and failed governance issues to be laid at our door.

Sky's interpretation of it was an absolute joke, the lead presenter opinion, can't think of the slimy toads name, was just awful, he as always just seemed awfully pleased with himself.
Exactly. Overdramatised and completely devoid of any facts at all. These sound very different:

Kav on Sky. “Everton have been given the biggest ever punishment for breaking the Premier Leagues Profit & Sustainabilty rules.” (Finally stopped saying FFP which is nice.)

Or

“Everton have been given the biggest ever punishment due to a disagreement over the completely undocumented method for treating external loan interest used to build a new stadium and regenerate a deprived section of a NW city, writing off the book value and losing sale proceeds from their most expensive player through no fault of their own, and losing future revenues from a sponsor who everyone was perfectly happy to own part of media darlings Arsenal for years, but due to a heinous war thousands of miles away had to be distanced from the club. The club fully accepted the breach and was willing pay a fine, as per the scab 6, but due to the soon to be ex-owner have wealth which he did not derive in any way from football, a fine was deemed inappropriate.”

Yeah ok.

I'm half expecting some kind of 'support' from the rs in the form of demanding consistency. Merely because they'll be itching to see City and Chelsea severely punished.

I'm seeing this from various RS in WhatsApp groups I'm in, even some mates. I'm ignoring them, I've no interest in their salivating and dreaming of trophies handed to them after a punishment for City

The club need to come out fighting, both barrels. Why hasn’t Dyche said anything? Klopp would already have kicked off and rightly so, we need to kick up a massive fuss
Dyche & the guys will take this to the chin. It's not and it is at the same time not their fight. They'll do what they'll do. Which will be gaining the points needed. Sure, they can slap more deductions etc. It really doesn't matter anymore. It's us against them. If we go down, we go down. This club will bounce back. And that's what's frightening them.

UTFT.

Can anyone explain the differences between what Everton have done and what city have done?

Why were city not handed a points deduction immediately like we were? Do they just have better lawyers?

I’m guessing the latter..
Didn't Everton admit guilt? City have always denied it. The Prem have the sum total of zero evidence against City. I fully expect us to be found innocent. The whole point of the 115 charges is for reputational damage, and it has worked beautifully for them.

Don't believe football powers want or need another powerful club from North West. Certainly compared to rest of country football from the Noth West is over represented on fair few economic measures.
