They shifted infrastructure spending into FFP calculations, they took our right to sponsorship from USM away, they were advising us to sell players in a hurry to be compliant and not getting value for them.

Any of those being in place for us keeps us onside of spending.

We have admitted to breaking P&S rules. We were bound to be punished.

If you look at the EFL then the starting point is 12 points. As a club we should be telling the appeal commission that we accept our guilt but that 10 points is harsh. We should explain that it was down to Moshiri and that he is leaving so the club and fans should not be treated too harshly and the points penalty should be reduced.

Not jump up and down and stamp our feet like a naughty toddler who has been told off for something they did.

We have admitted to breaking P&S Rules, which makes our appeal quite difficult. But we also admitted to it because we had to, we were partially screwed with their change to stadium financing rules. Our admission is in essence acknowledging its a rule now, but in reality we are being mostly punished for building a stadium and how Moshiri chose to do accounting for it.

Of the 120 million that the premier league charged us with spending over 3 years, at least 15 million from just that one year is NOT from players, trading, wages, or anything competitive, but purely interest charges on loans as we are financing a stadium build. We spent 50 million on stadium build costs that the league MADE us count towards our competitive budget because they deemed it "not probable" until approval was given. Then, when approval was given, they said you still cant exclude it THIS year.

Spending 120 million on players and wages would be one thing. But thats not what happened. They were just simply forced to admit that certain exclusions the league will no longer allow, though any rational person would probably say they should.

Because we still needed players to stay in the Division. We had to sell our better players to try and beat the FFP.
Look at our net spend over the last 3 or 4 seasons compared with others and you will see that we tried our best (with the assistance of the PL) to be compliant.
