The agreement was due to come into force from 25/26 because the probability is that would be our first full season at BMD. From an accounting point of view you can only account for things that are probable. It is a massive stretch to try and claim money for something that was still a possibility even more so trying to bring forward naming rights for a ground that is far from finished.

USM had naming rights for our training ground, I personally think it likely we’d have been able to get money for the ground even before we moved in. The “probable” might have been proved with additional documentation/testimony.
I suspect any appeal will at least try to provide better proof of the “advanced stages” of negotiations.

We should be producing written evidence of the government stating costs are increasing due to the war.

There is article after article stating how construction costs sharply increased due to the war. Especially steel and Timber.
