Any Evertonian cheering this news just wants some gulf state to come in and take over, give the stadium some dodgy name for $500m and buy success.
I had huge problems with Kenwright, and clearly Usmanov and Moshiri screwed up with money but backing City and their model is about the most un Everton thing I can think of.
That said.
Backing the billionaire model while we dont have a pot to pee in is about the most Everton thing ever!
seems like the most Everton thing ever.Deciding what is and isn’t ‘Everton’ isn’t very Everton

Key word is "expected" which is probably the media being mischievous.
I hope we do though, would hopefully open up the door for gulf state investment into the club who likely are put off by the current rules.
Would be peak Everton luck to end up with some crackpot US owner, then City win their legal case down the line and someone like West Ham or Spurs end up with Qatari owners - right place right time.
I'm surprised we are agreeing with it now.
If Usmanov was here our fans would be behind City, he was trying to do what they do.
Cant believe I'm going to reply to someone who refers to themself in the third person and thinks Benitez was a great manager. This is exactly what FB92 wants. Ultimately its the only was to achieve success in football now. Leicester, Brighton, Southampton, Wolves, Everton etc have all tried other avenues and have all hit the proverbial glass ceiling.
Villa will have this season and maybe next before Watkins, Diaby, Emery etc are snatched and they fall back down the table. The system is designed to keep everyone else outside the existent big 6 out of the conversation for sustained periods of success.
You'll never see another period of Everton under Kendall, or Forest under Clough.

Mosh was trying to fob us off during the world cup and got sent packing.
No gulf state want us.

There needs to be proper PL/indy oversight for the league. Centralized sponsorship/kit contracts. A salary cap. A genuine chance for every team to compete.
Transparent rules re. spending and sponsorship.
City are literally citing the "tyranny of the majority". They're spelling it out.
City win this case and yea, Everton might be a more saleable prospect but city get their 115 cases thrown out because there's a new precedent.
Money will pour in to the petroclubs.
Every other club will live off the scraps thrown down by the petroclubs for sales.
Academies and grass roots will suffer as mega clubs use the international multi club system rather than the domestic system.
The gap between the championship and the PL will become totally unbridgeable.
The league will suffer.
Other clubs and fans will look at us just the way we looked at the scab 6.

probably not but for me, theyre the ideas the league should be striving for. It's a nice thought but centralised sponsorship and kit contracts aren't happening. Ever.
We have an absentee landlord so our vote means nothing.
