6 + 2 Point Deductions

Allowing them to spend more. Just bowing down to them and Allowing them to further get away with it.
I’m not even bothered any more , it’s farcical. we walked in (without even statements from ceo & cfo) and spilled our guts with our alleged supersilk in attendance and got well and truly hammered .

Pretty much everyone since and took them on , little old Everton , the self styled best run club in the league Threw themselves on the mercy of the prem and took a hiding . The premier league have embarrassed themselves at every turn since , the league is no longer competitive or even attempting to appear fair .

Joke

This isn't linked to their ongoing case of 115 charges from the PL (not totally anyway). This is to do with Associated Party Transactions, basically where a company owned by a club owner sponsors the football club a huge amount etc (Etihad with City, USM with us etc).

Could be good news for us, if it means Friedkin can now lob a ton of cash at us through their associated companies as 'sponsors'

Exactly, very good news and means Freidkin can basically sponsor us for whatever they like.

Not sure it’s particularly bad news for us but it is very good news for Newcastle
Don’t know how many times this has to be said, anything that benefits teams like Newcastle and City is very unlikely to be good for us. There are multiple teams with better access to commercial revenues that will use rules like this to further widen the gap. People are deluded to think otherwise.

The only thing that would benefit us would be if they all left for the super league.

Why would it be a disaster?
There is no suggestion that the new owners have any desire to pump tonnes of cash into us via back door routes like this. Other teams with far greater access to capital will use this to further bend the rules and pull away.

The only chance everton have of ever being successful again in my lifetime is either some insanely rich benefactor buying us who wants to spend tonnes of cash as part of a vanity project or by slow and sensible growth with the ability to catch teams ahead of who are having to work under some sort of spending restrictions.

The idea that the removal of those restrictions would benefit us is deluded
