6 + 2 Point Deductions

The games been slowly strangled mate. I think supporting a club now is more about indigenous belonging, culture and identification rather then competition.

Competition is dead or its relative. Being very honest, i dont care about the title race, most weeks i couldn't tell you who is top of the league or last season didn't know who was going to win the title until last few weeks. I dont really care - what does that say about the evolution of the league or how its run and these PAS charges just go further in disenfranchising football fans. I love the game in general so if ive gotten to this level of apathy many have.

Where do i find joy now? Just supporting my club, in young players breaking through, i admire something like what Villa did last season and i actually enjoy the Championship more then i do the PL as a competition, basically anything with sporting integrity. There is still a bit of romance in the game if you care to find it.

But the dice are loaded and no mistake in the PL, at our level its not competition any more and its very hard to achieve objectives sustainably even if you are the very best at what you do.

The PL id dead in my opinion, we are more likely to win a European Trophy as the Title now, but the PL will eventually eat itself alive. Im over it, beyond us.
I don’t see the point in supporting a sport your team isn’t allowed to win, I’m sorry I just don’t.

When are we likely to hear about the unresolved PSR case from last year? Was it to do with something on the stadium that we'd capitalised last season but hadn't done in the previous 2 seasons?

It was the way we treated stadium loans.

There is an article in the Echo today saying it is still outstanding from April.

Maybe the Premier League have all their legal team on the City case.

I think once Friedkin takes ownership he will get the case thrown out.

According to Talkshite, Burnley are confident that they will be granted compensation by the PL independent commission subject to quantifying their loss.

Seems very speculative to me.

Well considering the same guy who decides they can get compensation is the same fella who was the chair of the original "independent commission ", then they probably will but I am sure we will appeal it.

It’s got nothing to do with us anyway. It’s the Premier League that should compensate them because it was the Premier League who delayed the hearing until the next season. No idea why people keep trying to link this back to us.

Read somewhere lately that the PL have put it off indefinitely due to complexities over the rules etc about stadium funding. It added it was highly unlikely to be dealt with this season. I'm guessing the Man City case and the farce around the Leicester case has a big part in the PL kicking it down the road too.
