6 + 2 Point Deductions

I have no idea. Not many other clubs been deducted points twice in one season though is there.

True. Just wondering why us tho. Then again we are the only club who got a player sent of for diving. Maybe we are seen as a easy touch.

Why would they have it in for us?

De facto owner being an Oligarch on the world wide sanctions list maybe?
Seems a bit extreme but we certainly seem to have been targeted given what else has been going on with the bending of the rules without punishment.
Lets not forget we were allegedly in constant contact with these whoppers with our dealings to stay compliant and we still got hammered.
Maybe it was just a case of low hanging fruit rather than targeted, but whatever the reason it stinks to high heaven.

All the more galling is that all the things that made us vulnerable to persecution would have meant the relegation they were trying to cause would have been catastrophic.

I remember laughing at how suddenly the ‘diving punishments’ stopped as soon as Salah got egregious with his starfish falls to the ground. Kane was a repeat offender too. Lanzini and Niasse actually had contact as well just to rub it in. Not fouls fair but certainly not dives. But it’s ok to hit West Ham and Everton. One rule for them and another for everyone else

It's one of those things that there's never going to be official communication of no charges - just a lack of official communication of charges, coupled with journalist reporting that they have been briefed that there are no charges.

It sounds like a fanbase on a conspiracy rant...but it's not. It's absolutely true.

I don't even know if that law still exists.

As for the PSR punishment...we were the scapegoats. The dog that got sent into orbit.

At least that dog got a cool trip to space out of it.

I guess they didn't want to waste any more money and time taking down their own members and I'm pleased they'll be no asterisk for any club this year but it leaves an incredibly bitter taste in the mouth about how we were treated last year and other fans reaction to it. The thing that annoys me the most, still, is we just didn't fight back as a club properly, sick of being the pushovers in the league, being laughed at by everyone. Let's hope those days are over.

I don't think we'll ever see another point deduction for PSR.

I reckon we'd have grounds to sue the PL. I'd chip in a fiver for sure.

What i didn't like was fans from other clubs laughing at us and allowing stories to sue us and hoping to stay up at our expense due to point losx.

Even if we have no intention of actually taking them to court it would be good to get a story out there that we're considering it, just put it out there that we see this for what it is, we won't take it anymore, stand up for ourselves a little.

Absolute shambles of a rule and a totally incompetent PL trying to enforce it.

Clubs scrambling round selling their youth products and unwanted players like scraps of overinflated meat.

Wealthy clubs laughing at them selling hotels and whatever elaborate scheme to get around them.

We were definitely the example they wanted to show that they were a firm hand, a club falling to pieces that they thought they could take advantage of, how many points in total did they want to charge us for?

And not just one points deduction, two in one season and never to be repeated again
