Sure, Newcastle have way more to gain with the players in Saudi but given our lack of room to maneuver with transfers, we could use the 777 group to pick up players on loan from Vasco and Genoa that we otherwise couldn't take a punt on. Even Sevilla maybe.

End of the day the PL waved through the Saudis and waved through multi club ownership so this is the consequence of their decisions.
I’ve no love for Newcastle or Saudi but trying to change the rules to thwart one transfer rumour is funny.
Think they thought the Saudis would come in, buy up expensive big six reserve players like Moshiri on steroids then they’d catch them with FFP. But basically the Saudis have outwitted them and it’s pretty funny. Sod them.

The accounting rules haven't changed. What changed was that we published our accounts and a charge was registered with Companies House showing that the Rights and media funding loan was for working capital for day-to-day running and not for the Stadium.
The Stadium costs ARE permissible deductions and do not count towards our P&S losses.
We were trying to claim for interest on the commercial loans from Metro Bank and Rights and Media funding by pretending they were being used for the Stadium when they were not.
The Stadium was being funded by interest-free loans from Moshiri.

TBF, this may help our cause.
They have stated in their report that they can not calculate a level of sporting advantage, and the only reason they state there was one was due to a previous ruling. If a group of other clubs turn up and attempt, or manage to prove a level of sporting advantage beyond all reasonable doubt, then we would be able to call into question the capability of the whole board and therefore their whole judgement.
They either make themselves look incompetent or tell the others their judgement on Everton stands and sporting advantage can be inferred but not quantified.
