Gotta say, I’m a bit more worried about the deduction sticking than I was before.

PL look horribly weak if it gets reduced or overturned on appeal, which would likely strengthen the call for independent oversight.

Wondering now if they stick to their guns and dig their heels in.

I couldn't tell you but I do not believe the -10 will stick, it'll be reduced massively imo.

I doubt this seeing as the other 777 clubs are poor with probably worse squads.

I would be amazed if the penalty is not reduced. However, what difference does it make in the long run? Yes we may stay in the league this year, and future years, and that does have obvious benefits, finance etc. but recent events have brought into sharp focus the fact that we have zero chance of being remotely competitive at this level. We are not one of the chosen few at the top table and unless something seismic happens we never will be. It is a closed shop and we are not welcome

The league opened up the can of worms. Even if the 10 point deduction stands (which I doubt), their credibility will take a huge hit and now they will be pressured to carry out further justice. All of the skeletons are coming out of the closet.

“We can’t say what might happen with Chelsea, but here we have found information that may have never been submitted to the Premier League, so one could speculate that a ruling against Chelsea could be more severe.”

They'll give them a 15 point ban knowing full well it don't mean squat for Chelsea in the grand scheme of things. Or they'll sweep it under the rug.

Havant you heard? The appeal panel will be independent of the PL...

So do I. Can you imagine the double whammy that'd be: Everton scrambling for points to survive and then Liverpool being handed a few trophies on top of it?

No chance.

I really hope Everton were against the loans being allowed but fear we might have been one of the 7.

I'll be appalled and disgusted if we have not voted to ban this practise. It will be the complete breakdown of any effort to show fairness in the PL. Shame on those clubs who have voted for it. Name and shame.
