Lol this is coming from someone who supports a club that had one of the most corrupt managers an d players in the history of football and the 60s and 70s.As a leeds fan, I think I have 4 takes on this.
1 - The 10 pts mean very little this year. There are 3 terrible teams in the league, you'll stay up with 30 points probably. Can't see the penalty resulting in relegation.
2 - You broke FFP. You did so knowingly and then tried to cover it up with dodgy accounting. The penalty is fair enough - You got caught and lied about it. Suck it up.
3 - Your big problem isnt the 10 pts, its Burnley and Leicester. Leeds, Southampton etc.....have very small claims, which amount to a couple of million for being 'cheated' out of a place in the league, but neither resulted in a substantial impact. Burnley and Leicester however..........You could easily be looking at a couple of hundred million compensation and all the fun and games that come with that.
4 - This is for the 21-22 season. Your still not compliant with FFP today, so need to fix that pronto or you'll be proper hammered. As a result, there is an urgent need to sell players and reduce the wage bill - and forget about strengthening. I think this (and the 3rd point) are your main issues. The 10 pts won't mean a whole lot and is short term - a big compensation bill and a wage bill that is hugely out of kilter with your revenue are longer term problems that could bury you for a good long time.
Stopped reading right there. As a leeds fan, I think
Beyond reasonable doubt is for criminal cases. The burden of proof in this case will be the much lower 'balance of probabilities'. In essence, all they will have to decide is whether it was likely that Everton committing a serious breach of P&S rules affected the relegation battle.
Legal cases are usually decided by legal precedents. Given the Sheff Wed case, it is likely that they will find that a serious breach gave us a significant sporting advantage.
Shhhhhhhhhh. If we stay still and keep quiet he might go away on his own.As a leeds fan, I think I have 4 takes on this.

Point 1 - completely irrelevant to the discussion of whether the punishment is fair or not.As a leeds fan, I think I have 4 takes on this.

The absolute brass neck of a Leeds fan coming on here talking about club finances. And I raise you Peter Risdale…
Weird £25m blerts on here. I was half expecting to see 'new signing' or '500k' with such drivel.Let's not give weird WUMs attention, please.
I can imagine what he is saying is probably getting said on abar 30 other clubs forums to be fair. We would be saying the same if it was any other club tbf.if he’s right let’s just liquidate now
Probably because they didn't want their governance removed ( as its about to be soon ) , it was all swept under the carpet. There seems to be a number of these stories of historic financial jiggery pokery surfacing at the moment. I can only assume that these are not recent investigations / discoveries so it begs the question why did the authorities not take action as I imagine they would have had some knowledge of them.
Thanks for saving me a job!How do you know we aren’t compliant?
Also hundred of millions? Where have you plucked that figure from? With parachute payments negating a lot of the difference in PL revenue, it won’t get near that.
And only one of Leicester or Burnley will be entitled. They can’t both get compensated as we couldn’t finish 18th in both seasons. And arguably only Burnley would as the charge is from that season.
Leicesters argument is with the PL for not sorting the penalty out last season. Thats nothing to do with us.
