6 + 2 Point Deductions

No idea but they are making us look like the PL villans when all around us are as bad if not worse than us.

How can arguably the biggest club in the world Man utd operate in a billion pounds worth of debt?
How can Chelsea spend around a billion in such a short space of time?
How have Notts Forest signed 30 players in 2 windows and are not in any breach of the PSR?
How have City's 115 charges that they strongly deny not been their priority?

Why have Everton been hit with the biggest punishment in PL history for 19.4m over 3 years?

It does stink of something i dont know what though...
I know what you mean, something has gone on behind the scenes imo (no idea what) I don't understand why we seem to be public enemy no1 all of a sudden, there is a clear campaign to kick us into touch.

Is this a new thing that you now submit one years stuff anyway? as whats happened to the 3 year cycle rubbish. The 10point thing is part of the 3 year cycle we got the deduction for isnt it. so no way can we have had another 3 years already and you cant just add a year on to the previous 2 to keep bringing it to the 3rd year like the 3rd year is a rolling year - it has to go for example 2018-2021 & 2021 to 2024

Its all rubbish and just headline making for the sake of it, as every team has the same problem

It's all very arbitrary. A load of hokum. There must be good barristers and lawyers that can challenge this.

The FFP / PSR is supposed to be there for certain reasons, including safeguarding clubs, it's doing quite the opposite. Punishing Everton over and over again
because seemingly we can't utilise a wealthy owner either to write off the debts.

Designed to keep the likes of us 'down' and keep the likes of the sly sorry Sky six in their 'rightful' place at the top.

This appeal has to done asap. You can’t leave a team and fans at the bottom of the league not knowing what if any outcome until the end of the season. The players might just give up hope and we could be left stranded at the bottom.

Not just that but image Luton not knowing how to approach games because they don’t know if they’re actually 5 points ahead of us or if they’re going to be 1 point behind after the appeal .

It’s a mess and needs sorting asap for everyone’s benefit

I thought it was a standard sanction? That would explain why absolutely everyone voted against it.
Noone wanted standard sanctions as there are so many individual circustances and mitigating factors. But i bet if Everton could vote again they would say they want standard sanctions as no mitigating factors or individual circumstances were taken into consideration in Evertons case.
If they are going to use some rules that are made up on the hoof for applying sanctions then surely they should be documented so that they are applied equally across the board? They can always make a caveat that there may be some mitigating factors, the same as in a court of law where they may adjust a penalty for instance if you were speeding to get someone to hospital.
The PL are destroying football by opening this whole can of worms and each club potentiall suing each other in a litigation merrygoround of never ending chaos.
The PL rules are clearly set up to protect the clubs that have already had financial doping in the past to climb to the top and now dont want anyone else to attack their revenues. Utter greed and its why the same clubs dominate constantly and noone else has a chance in hell breaking into the top 6.
I say good on City and Newcstle etc i hope they get away with it. Why should an owner not be able to put money into a club if they can afford it?
These clubs getting found guilt will only strengthen clubs like Liverpool, Man U etc that have a stranglehold on the money that flows in football and who managed to establish themsleves before these daft FFP rules were made up.

With hindsight, maybe admitting we were guilty was the worst thing we could have did?

Interestingly I read this earlier regarding another PL club meeting where they are discussing the allocation of funds to lower league teams…

“Sky News claims that a number of clubs outside of the big six of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are unhappy with the negotiation of the New Deal and how much would have to be handed to the EFL, with the report claiming that one club in the bottom half of the table has already raised the subject of potentially having to borrow money to pay its share of the money owed.”

Wonder who the one club needing to borrow money is?

Isn’t it ironic that the PL is making plans which are reckless and unfunded that further undermine the P&S of the 14 clubs outside of the “sky six”?
Eventually the gravy train will run out of bisto….

fat Sam will be as worried as anyone at that news

I think it's a rolling three year period so that you don't go mad every fourth year.

we did the correct thing by suspending our player X, thus contributing to our financial indiscretion. Yet all this is going on in “the best” league in the world!

I seem to remember is doing the right things and keeping all our staff on full wages in lock down , while spurs and the rs were looking to cut wages as soon as lockdown was announced
