Ah so it's 18/19 that drops off? That was a bad one.

Yeah the period we were just sanctioned for was 18/19, then the two Covid years averages, then 21/22. So 18/19 goes.

Also, if we were close, you’d think whatever overspend we finally admitted to this time wouldn’t have been a number that shafts us a second time, given we would know what the 22/23 loss should say. We’d have fought to get the right number or it’s curtains.

Given we have probably been the only club in the league actively tightening the purse strings for the last 2 seasons, we might actually get mid table mediocrity in the PSR league. DVDs already printing. “2023 - crap but broke even”

Surely it’s the 2019/20 season that’s dropping off? That was the Gbamin, Kean, Iwobi etc year. The 3 years will be 20/21, 21/22 and 22/23.

But why do they want us out of the league so badly?

No idea but they are making us look like the PL villans when all around us are as bad if not worse than us.

How can arguably the biggest club in the world Man utd operate in a billion pounds worth of debt?
How can Chelsea spend around a billion in such a short space of time?
How have Notts Forest signed 30 players in 2 windows and are not in any breach of the PSR?
How have City's 115 charges that they strongly deny not been their priority?

Why have Everton been hit with the biggest punishment in PL history for 19.4m over 3 years?

It does stink of something i dont know what though...

Not necessarily disagreeing with you but, as an overseas viewer, I wouldn't want to watch the 'big 6' play an artificial competition against Europe's elite. I'm a big cricket fan and can't be arsed with the IPL/Hundred and other manufactured stuff etc and I won't pay for it. I don't think it's a given that the European breakaway would have been a success.

Thing about the super league model that o don’t think fans have thought through.

It’s almost as if these profit and sustainability charges are designed to send a club to the wall. This needs government intervention and now. If they can do it with Chelsea they can intervene over this circus

And rightly so, that means that if you go £1m over FFP you’d get the same sanction as a club that has gone £200m over.

Thats not correct - our point deduction was related to how much we overpspent. They gave us a points deduction for going over the FFP limit and then 1 point per 5 million overspend (or something like that). So they have made up a sanction and then applied it. They made up a sanction for the scab 6 setting up a super league (30 point deduction) but then never applied it retrospectively - why double standards?

They won't finish bottom, they'll have annual invites to teams that will change each year to 'keep it interesting', otherwise read, so Tottenham don't have an entire season without a win.

Also, it was never about fans. These clubs want ESL fans, not club fans. ESL fans will.turn up to watch any match in the ESL, meaning that they're not bothered about home/away games.

The two Covid seasons are averaged and treated like one season I think. So it’s effectively a four season calculation just now I think.

We did work with them. Trouble is, Moshiri (apparently) told them "we needed a midfield, so I bought one". Hence the overspend.

Its been said again and again. We are guilty. We admitted it. It is the draconian sentence we are appealing.

This it hugely important and isn’t being grasped correctly by everyone imo.

We “ worked” with the pl , but during those “ workings” they had repeatedly warned us that making X signing puts us at risk etc

Moshiri just ignored them as he usually does and went and done what he wants.

He then couldn’t balance the books and now we are paying the price.

On top of that he decides to go to the trial and tell everyone exactly what he done …

Apparently the original rules and regulations for FFP included being in breach if you had debts, they quickly realised all the so called big teams were in debt, some massively and changed the rules.

No but it will be paper view and no guy from Asia or Africa is paying to watch his team get smashed every week.
