6 + 2 Point Deductions

Huh???? Which accounts??
we have to submit the 2022-23 season accounts supposedly by the end of the year (Not the 2023 year). you would think we are the only team that exsists with reports over the weeks with an account. Ive seen it both ways that we will be close, while other things ive seen say we are way under, whatever the actual amount is allowed,or whatever. The whole thing makes no sense to me, why we even have to do a year, when surely its every 3 i dont have a clue

We would have submitted those in March, surely? I've never heard of year end accounts.

Is this new just for us?

Just reading now, its brought forward from march to end of the year for all

The change to a specific timeframe is to ensure that any points deductions apply to the season in which the rule breach takes place. For Everton and other clubs, that means accounts for the 2022-23 season must be submitted before December 31, instead of March.

Updated terms in the Premier League’s 2023-24 handbook state: “These standard directions have been agreed by clubs to ensure that any complaint regarding a breach of the Profitability and Sustainability Rules can be resolved, including any appeal, as expeditiously as possible and, absent exceptional circumstances, prior to June 1 following the submission of the relevant club’s annual accounts....This provides certainty for the league, its member clubs and other stakeholders as to the membership of the league in the subsequent season.”

Whatever the actual new rule for submitting accounts is for , i dont know. dont have a clue does any amount add on to the previous 2 years. Or is there some type of new rule where you cant lose a certain amount in a season. supposedly people at the club think we are ok, based on a report a week ago

Totally lost track me. But, in a nutshell, (I think), we have been punished for a historic breach this season, and could be punished again for a current breach, again, this season. With a new rule introduced this season. I mean, where do you even start with that?

So if we are out with the end of year accounts we could be still punished again this year?

This is what its suppose to be now, before we say the new year accounts
Everton posted losses of £120.9m in 2020-21 and £44.7m for 2021-22, a total of £165.6m for the last two years of published accounts.

Plus, that below, It may be close but we may just be ok,

Add-backs, such as losses incurred as a result of building a new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock, can be used to reduce the sum in respect of profit and sustainability rules, although the commission rejected some of Everton’s arguments in that regard during October’s hearing.

Everton sold Anthony Gordon and Moise Kean during the 2022-23 financial year

After getting out of the zone last night it made me think of this gif.
