6 + 2 Point Deductions

I think we are safe the 2nd time from any deduction, based on nothing, but the odd person saying we are ok, and that does not include The Esk lol. Whatever way we should start to hear rumours Sunday as clubs supposedly find out then, while the official announcement is supposedly Monday

Thankfully, I can only see Samuels alluding to another breach, currently.

Can somebody read that Times story and tell me if he says anything worthwhile later on?

I can see via one of those things that get pass the Pay stuff. For me, if he say's that. He basically does not know and is guessing. As we know there seem's to have been more people saying we are ok the 2nd time, than not.

So, on Monday, the likelihood is that Everton and Nottingham Forest will be charged and, if found guilty

I dont have a sub and you arent allowed to paste it anyway, but here is the "headline".

This is how convinced the Premier League is of the worth of its profit and sustainability rules. From August 2024, they change. Quite how isn’t yet in the public domain, but the expectation is for a system more aligned with the Uefa model, focusing on wages to turnover. So, on Monday, the likelihood is that Everton and Nottingham Forest will be charged and, if found guilty, potentially relegated, for falling foul of a system rated so highly by its enforcers that it has eight months to live. There’s governance for you. Watch out, the Post Office.................

I’m more convinced of the corruption if we have broken the rules again. Why did the league decide that everyone submitted their accounts early? Is this because they gave us a dedication and we quickly got the points back? They want us gone, what better way than to give us another in the same season.

Hmm.

The pessimist in me (who takes up 80% of my body weight) says a football team appealing a 10 point deduction when they have admitted guilt would be the smallest “case” our super silk bloke has been near since he qualified. Even if it mothballed a £750m stadium and killed off a massive but loss making company, it's a minor case for him in monetary terms. Look at his cases.

Quite possible, if we know we are in for a second hit (which we will know 100% as the accounting period finished 6 months ago), he has been brought in to discredit the whole system, rules themselves, PL contracts, the whole thing.

Forest have also taken on a big name KC and they've not even been charged with a first offence yet. It might not less about the amount of money in dispute but the amount of money clubs are willing to pay because the stakes are so high.

May or may not be a minor case to a SuperSilk but it will be a high profile one that gets him in the papers plenty, and while he might not need the advertising there's no such thing as bad publicity, even if it's just for the ego.

Can see us getting 5 points back and then lose a further 9 as we go into administration which puts us back in the [Poor language removed] with Mosh still at the helm.

Can’t see any Arabs riding on camels to help us out.

We are pretty much fooooooked.

Salary caps are not realistic.

Only realistic fair cap is on spending. Not revenue based just every team has a maximum annual budget of £100m and once spent thats it. If your owner can afford to spend it then they can if they cant then they cant.

Would bring transfer fees down as no one would spend £80-100m on one single player when most top sides bring in at least 2-3 good signings each summer and would also stop the top clubs stockpiling all the talent and/or farming young starlets out for fees towards FFP.

Wouldn’t necessarily disagree with you.

But would that cause the value of all players (assets) would nosedive? Players bought for £20mill plus would probably all have to be sold for less than they were purchased and cause massive losses.

I can’t imagine many owners/investors would take it.
