6 + 2 Point Deductions

I read an article this week saying Wolves are in some bother and may be close to the wrong side of FFP too. If a few more teams were to fail we could be in a much better position.
What a desperate place to be. Not only hoping other teams lose points on the pitch but also off it. I'll be checking the news/sport headlines every two minutes tomorrow to see how many clubs (including us) will have another nervous wait.

I read the odd person say that he was right about the 1st charge - As in we were over. but no idea if or what he actually said on the 1st one.
It does seem like he always thought we were massively over.

The Esk does know his financial stuff and I’m trusting him on this one.
Plus he tends to be more cautious, always looking at the worst possible scenario in his calculations. It is often the case that the official accounts are slightly better in reality than his forecast which give me confidence that we will be well within the limit. Additionally there wasn't really a huge push from the club to sell a big asset before July 1st like we did when we had to sell richy.

I'm no fan of his, but we were massively over profit and sustainability. It's only for some creative accounting that we got it down to 19.5m.

Well we’re not, that’s just something you’ve made up in your head.
I must have missed the part where we have an injury free squad to take us to the end of the season, or the long list of players wanting to come to GP to further enhance there careers, or the list of investors waiting to pump in hundreds of millions into us.

I must read everything before I come out with such a statement and then repeat WE ARE FOOOOKED!!!

There, said it!!

Well in the real world we are actually trying to get into europe as we're on 26 points. However don't let me get in the way of you making 'Everton that' your entire forum personality.

The Times article seems to me to be a generic complaint about the whole FFP situation, rather than any specific knowledge of Everton’s accounts from last year. I think (hope) the player sales, increase in broadcasting revenue, increase in gate receipts and reduced wage bill will make us compliant.

It does feel like when any mention about any new charge's that may come out, for any club. That we auto get mentioned as though we are in trouble again, even if we are not.

As opposed to Super Luton, no injuries and signing Mbappe on a loan with an obligation to buy for 26p.

Agreed. It’s complete guesswork on Samuels’ part. His knowledge on the suspension of P&S is worth a 100 word article. The rest is just padding where we and Forest happen to be mentioned.
