The Esk does know his financial stuff and I’m trusting him on this one.

Plus he tends to be more cautious, always looking at the worst possible scenario in his calculations. It is often the case that the official accounts are slightly better in reality than his forecast which give me confidence that we will be well within the limit. The Times article seems to me to be a generic complaint about the whole FFP situation, rather than any specific knowledge of Everton’s accounts from last year. I think (hope) the player sales, increase in broadcasting revenue, increase in gate receipts and reduced wage bill will make us compliant.
